Pyron has IT

The fact that pyron has been 3rd string all year is deserving enough for the entire staff to be fired for incompetence. Redshirt be damned... You put him in in the UVA game and we win almost assuredly. The whole season would be different right now... Clowns

Meh. I don’t blame anyone for having Gibson at 2 and Pyron at 3 before tonight. One is 18 with zero college snaps and the other is 22 with tons of experience. Sometimes you gotta see guys play in a real game before you know.

The level of incompetence in every facet of this program is just laughable. From recruiting, to game management, to game prep, to the coaching part is just unbelievable. I fully expect a lame duck staff to play Pyron 5 games so our 2026 season goes to crap. I hope our AD stops this insanity. I like Key, but after seeing how our backup QB played last week was the end for me. They knew Sims was gimpy and it looked like Gibson hadn’t even practiced. Our practices must just be awful.
Lotsa kickball and plenty of grub on the training table buffet. Mebbe some pussy money. If we pamper them they won't get fatheaded, soft or dumb. They will rise and deliver. We will transform D1 college football. 404 The Culture. :puke:

The next three games are winnable and if we do so with ZP you can't bench him against ugag. And, if we win the next three and go bowling, do you still want key gone?

We knew Gibson after the uva game

It would make it a harder decision. Key has also been the assistant head coach/O line coach, he isn't free of blame for the past 4 years.

Calm your tits. We ain't winning the next 3 games. Even if we somehow pull that off, we aren't beating Georgia. So playing Pyron in all 4 games is just stupid.

I don’t see him transferring unless we make a ridiculous hire. His family stated he committed to GT for more reasons than just football. He also sees that he has a clear path to playing time so no reason to leave unless a Bama type comes calling. I totally understand the roster management thoughts you bring up but you can’t let the what ifs push you into something, This season is over so someone in a power position (AD) needs to make decisions on what is best for the future. I’m not really worried about Pyron playing 5 games because Mr. Pyron won’t let that happen. He’ll do what’s best for his son’s future. Just like Sims is doing what he believes his best for his future.
If we hire Deion, he will not have a chance to start.

What I'm asking is if we win 3 straight and go to a bowl, how does Pyron take when he is told he isn't starting the rivalry game or the bowl game? He seems like a competitive guy. Does he understand saving a redshirt or say BS, give me the ball coach?

For maybe a half, ok. Let's say they wrote off the 1st half and made locker room adjustments. They convinced themselves the last drive of the quarter was a turning point. Then he flopped the next couple of series, you gotta pull him as he has 3 pts in almost 3 qtrs of play and he looks confused. I think at that point in the Va game the handwriting was chiseled in the granite.

I mean thats a whole bunch of what ifs... not impossible but not likely. If we are bowl elgible and he could play against UGA reality is he aint gonna be able to make that much pf a difference. I suppose if by then you know your next head coach and Pyron is excited for it someone needs to have a very candid discussion with him about if he should or shouldn't burn his redshirt. I mean if Pyron turns this offense into a more well rounded effective offense and the Defense is able to be off field more and just be solid. That improvement and new coach could be a boon going into offseason about keeping players and stablizing recruiting

Anyone on here thinks Pyron wants to wait 2 more years for Sims' lightbulb to come on, so he can learn behind him?

Sims is gone I just don't think he will linger around for the new coaching staff were he may even be bounced in a compeition with Pyron and a coaching staff who may have no ties to keep him. He will go somewhere thats telling him hes will be there starter on day 1
