Replacement

We have a coach that is not quite ready for the big time. We knew this when we hired him. If the players didn’t play like **** then we’re nitpicking some play calls here and there and the two TO’s. You guys are acting like we will never win another game ever.

I believe this is a more desirable job than folks on this board realize, last hiring cycle withstanding. We’re a P5 program located in the biggest college football city in America with a trophy case that two-thirds of D1 programs would kill for (e.g. TA&M, Okie State, Arkansas, UNC, VT, all the west coast teams sans USC, and even UGA). I travel for work and am always encouraged to see the level of name recognition GT has nationally.

CGC’s optimism and vision is correct, he’s just proven incredibly inept on game day. Agree he needs to embrace the CEO model and get some top tier coordinators in a hurry or it will be curtains for him. CPJ ran circles around Clemson for the first 5 years until Dabo figured it out.

We can compete for championships again and should settle for nothing less.
His vision is fine. He just spends too much time on extraneous crap that doesn’t win football games. He’s literally involved in telling the band what to play and when.

Since we apparently don't mind about egregious buyouts, I say Randy Edsall so we can afford to pay, what, three coaches to not coach here? Randy is hanging it up after this year and will probably be pretty cheap.
That’s a definite no. UCONN hasn’t scored a point in 600+ days. This is worse than Collins.

If he wasn't ready for the big time, he shouldn't have been hired.
Ain't no learning curve, ain't no grading on a curve, at a P5 school. You make $3 million a year, your ass better know your öööö before you sign the contract. If you don't, you don't need to be offered the deal.

i kind of think that was my point…minus the band stuff. If true, we’re in more trouble than I thought.

This is his fifth ööööing year as a head coach. Get out of here with that hot piss take. Geoff Collins is a öööö coach. Period.

I unironically think Bielema could've worked

Hmmm, where have I heard this before?

Bielema was who I wanted regardless of his record at Woooo Pig Sooey. The ACC Coastal is a different animal than the SEC West. His Wisconsin teams steamrolled people. He will turn Illinois football around.

Tech is no longer a bad destination, it is a terrible job. Nobody is ever coming to Atlanta any time soon.

If there are Tech giants out there that can force out buyouts like Collins, then I want them to pull a Bama and bring in Pete Carroll from the NFL.

Absolutely correct. Top level coordinators are a necessity if you want to win big boy football.

I got it dark horse jim morah he’ll let you know if we suck and that we’re öööö at everything
