There are idiots. And then there are numbskulls who argue with their own posts. Unbelievable. And shouldn’t you be asleep?
Well, long conversations make me either want to pop some popcorn or grab the chips and get the dip out of the refrigerator.Making me want to dip out
Oh no I said it!!!
Good assessment . I think we understate the impact of the blocking rule changes on CPJs offense. It was as if his approach was so outlier, that these rule changes were aimed at his scheme, as a response to his success. To his detriment, he failed to adjust to the game in recruiting , scheming (look to Saban or even swinney for ability to adjust ) and for all his brilliancy at scheming and play calling, couldn't overcome the talent chasm. Another random thought: it was a true tragedy that he was never able to bring a 5 star qb or bb to his program - early on I was convinced he could produce a Heisman winner with his offense. I saw him as our version of beamer where we would have a magic season or two sprinkled in regular upper division finishesanyone
Well since you’re not arguing with your own post there’s only one possibility for you. There are idiots. And then there are numbskulls who argue with their own posts. Unbelievable.
Numbskull logic there. But hey, at least you're consistent!Well since you’re not arguing with your own post there’s only one possibility for you.

Four and five star recruits want no part of a triple option system. This was a real question that was unfortunately proven in the decade CPJ was here. It's unfortunate because with the right players the TO especially under Johnson could've competed for national championships i have no doubt. Elite players on both sides of the ball will never gravitate towards the TO because they have NFL ambitions. I wish that wasn't true but it is. IIWIIGood assessment . Bill Lewis did not pull off the biggest transition. One could argue that Nebraska pulled off as big a transition as us post Osborne... and look how crappy they have been since. It’s not easy!Count me and several friends in the old fart group. Been thru too many of these transitions since the 60's, and frankly this is the worst looking one so far. Many on here say Collins has a plan and is following it to get us where we want to be. I would be good with that, if he had a track record like Ross, O'Leary, even Gailey. He says this is the biggest transition in the history of college football. If he's right, what in his past makes us think he can pull off the biggest transition in the history of college football? I would disagree with him somewhat. Bill Lewis pulled off the biggest transition in college football history. Not all transitions are good one, and not all are successful. I missed less than a half dozen home games in 36 years up until this year. Made a couple of away games most years. Last year and this year may have broken me from sucking eggs. The thrill is gone and I don't know how to get it back.
Totally agree. I’ll admit I did not take that into account when we hired him. Also, with his early success it was easy to not fully grasp what you posted. However, the fact that the best B-Back and arguably the best QB he had were inherited and not recruited. Justin Thomas basically gave the TO one last grasp of breath. I agree that if the players would have come that Johnson would have dragged his sack all over the ACC.Four and five star recruits want no part of a triple option system. So are you. Consistently a whiny bitch.Numbskull logic there. But hey, at least you're consistent!
You make some good points but 2015 was not as bad as these Collins teams. We beat a top ten FSU that year that was coached by Jimbo Fisher. These Collins teams have not and haven't shown me they could beat a top 10 with a hall of fame coach. Wish I felt they could but I don't. And that bothers me, I don't expect Tech to be a top 10 team or even have a winning record every year, but I do want a belief they have a chance. The Clemson game was embarassing. I do like CGC recruiting (Gibbs is a stud) but the team needs to play better - period. ND flashed some improvment but I still quit watching in 3rd quarter and before halftime vs Clemson. I'm a long time fan but not a masochist. I don't think a coach since Bill Curry has emberassed us as much as CGC did against Clemson and Citadel. Plenty of people get beat by Clemson but 73-7? Curry got beat by Furman and Inever forgot that and will probably never forget CGC getting beat by Citadel. MTSU is not Citadel or Furman - sorry. It’s not that watching Tech lose is really fun - it’s that OP is ignoring how miserable CPJ’s last years became.
2015 was a disaster just as bad as Collins’s teams. 2016 was fun. 2017-2018 was 3 hours of QB keepers and bad defense.
Whether it was blocking rules changes or coaching burnout or poor recruiting really doesn’t matter. The program was dieing and Collins is doing something radical to fix it. He deserves more than 1.5 seasons in the middle of a pandemic before we give up.
Exact same juvenile insult to poster after poster here week after week . . everyone who calls out your poltroonish buffoonery is a whiny bitch. You should just put that in as a sig-tag and get a new schtick. So are you. Consistently a whiny bitch.
You have to admit that it's kind of funny that 2015 and CGC's first year had the same amount of wins. You make some good points but 2015 was not as bad as these Collins teams. That's because y'all continue to be whiny bitches who need your tampons changed. I'll make you a deal. You stop being a whiny bitch and I'll stop calling you one.Exact same juvenile insult to poster after poster here week after week . . everyone who calls out your poltroonish buffoonery is a whiny bitch. Two years after Osborne left (which equates to where we are now), Nebraska went 12-1, won the Fiesta Bowl, and finished second in the country. Next year they were 10-2 and ranked 6th. Next year they were 11-2 and finished 7th.Bill Lewis did not pull off the biggest transition. One could argue that Nebraska pulled off as big a transition as us post Osborne... and look how crappy they have been since. It’s not easy!
As for tough years, I lived through 1980 and 1981, our worst in history. I have never stopped supporting the team. I can be very analytical but attacking in order to damage, never. I don’t get the whining this year or last.
And you stop arguing with yourself in the posts here, and I'll stop calling you a doofus. That's because y'all continue to be whiny bitches who need your tampons changed. I'll make you a deal. You stop being a whiny bitch and I'll stop calling you one.
