Scott Frost at Nebraska

Agree with you. In the times I've watched Frost, who I did not previously like when he crowed about Central Florida being "National Champions", I came to respect him. He has made every attempt to retain the Nebraska model of toughness, physicality and pride. I think Nebraska is in a much tougher spot than in years past, top players have a lot of choices now rather than to go into the middle of the country to corn country. He seems to run a disciplined program and they've lost a bunch of games close.
Even though Frost is a good coach, that prepares his team and by all accounts coaches em up, without more Talent, it doesn't matter what he does.

You have to have players.

Great coaching <<<<<< great players

Yeah, maybe talk to the AD and cut the length of the contract down so we don’t have to pay him an arm and a leg to get rid of him if need be (which is looking very much likely).
So you wanted to pay a low salary (13th in the ACC) AND a short contract term while transitioning from the 3O?

Yes, I do, because there hasn’t been a single transition to get better. In fact the players that WERE good are now bad.

Who’s your favorite from that list?
Gary Patterson and Mike Gundy are becoming available. Whiz would’ve been good, and given the roster we have now, he might accept, that’s if you want to go the spread or pro style route. Monken has proven he can win and compete against good P5 teams on a consistent level. Bohannon has always been consistent, granted he hasn’t had a P5 job yet, so he’s lower on the list. Same with Jamey Chadwell, but he’s higher than Bo. That’s if you want to go the option/spread option route.

None of those guys would take the job if we fired Colli s this year. None of them would accept what we would offer.

Now put forth someone realistic.

Edit: in 2019 Whiz didn’t even consider the job. Why would he consider it now?

I would not want a pro coach who has never recruited.

So you’re telling me Monken and Bo wouldn’t accept? Chadwell is a 50/50 shot, depends on if he wants to move to P5 or not. And Whiz would consider now because there is a more pro style offense instilled.

You expect Mike Gundy to take a $2 million pay cut to come coach here?
