If you know...you know. Physical beast. Just doesn't have the football IQ to play at this level.

The bad news? He was the brightest hope on the field for us last night.

If we don't get rid of Collins and his loser mentality, his inability to see in Sim's third year that he can't do this job, and his never ending string of horrible in-game decisions, our once proud program is headed the way of the Do-Do bird.

No way. Put Sims behind even Duke or Vanderbilt’s OL and and it’s a completely “better quarterback.”

as far as Collins goes, I understand your frustration. But Chip Long is no slouch.

sadly, as bad as Collins is, just don’t expect things to get much better in the current college football landscape of NIL. A top 10 college football coach is not going to offset the Jimmy and Joe’s difference between our roster and teams that have 10 times the amount of money and alumni support.

Very good comparison. Unfortunately there is no AJ Suggs to compete with him. There is reason Sims didn’t transfer anywhere. Nobody wanted him unfortunately. The old saying looks like Tarzan but plays like Jane applies to Sims

Last I looked last night, Sims was at a 75% completion rate on the game and that includes several drops. Get lost idiot
You clearly didn't see the play before the TD where he threw into quadruple coverage.
Or the near pick 6.
Or...

Same song...different verse. Move him to WR or something.

Oh...and STATS ARE FOR LOSERS! The only one that matters is the scoreboard.

Looks like Tarzan yes. I think Jane knows not to throw into quadruple coverage though.

I clearly did see the play. That was his only egregious mistake of the game, douchebag.

Sims had some good moments and some "oh no" plays.
The big problem is this is first year with a legit OC and QB coach.
He isn't a natural runner. He doesn't run behind his pads and doesn't seem to have many moves. He could scramble ok but play calling on his running ability isn't a good idea.

No...that is not his problem. His problem is that he's not a QB. And building on that problem is that ( like the Syracuse game either last year or the year before...) he can throw 3-4 picks in a game and the coaches won't yank him. Ever.

Sims is not a bad QB; but he doesn't have an accurate long ball. Short and mid-range passes are his bread & butter. He runs really well. Having him start last night was the right call. The problems are elsewhere, and it is obvious to most that the O-line including the TE are a CF. CBK needs to be released and the O-line "consultant" that we hired in the offseason from UF given the reins for the rest of the year.

67 posts since 2007? You're clearly somebody's alt. Go post on your main account so we can tell you how stupid you sound. Sims accuracy was on point. His running was on point. He did make two bad decisions that luckily didn't cost us. He will look like a super star Saturday against Western Carolina. He'll look better against Ole Miss than he did last night as well.

Because it wasn't that long ago, I remember Jordan Yates, with 1/2 of Sims' physical ability, keeping us in the game with Clemson last year til the very end. Then Sims returns to beat NC...and tank the rest of the season. He is not a QB. Sorry.

No...this is my account. I just don't wax poetic like other posters. I lurk..and I read...and I go to the games... those 2 mistakes you mention would have tacked on 14 more points to the difference if Clemson DB's could actually catch the ball. He's not a QB.

He certainly is not the Heisman contender that some on here thought after his first season. And nobody on here would accuse me of being his cheerleader; but last night he was not the problem, and against Clemson he was the best choice. I don't know if he is the best QB on our roster and I have big doubts that he is; but for playing behind that O-line his mobility is essential.

How did Yates do against ND and UGA. Oh right, 0 pts. Hang your hat on the 8 we scored against Clemson though. We beat Clemson last year if Sims wasn't hurt.

Sims was, by far, the best player out there last night, with McCollum and our PK getting honorable mentions. He made 2 mistakes (OMG He wasn't perfect!!!) but looked far better last night than a year ago.

Bonus: He didn't admit to on-field interviewer at halftime that he was literally afraid of Clemson. He left that job to Clown Coach.

He looked much, much better than Ukelele, who flat-out sux as a QB. Clemson fans should be calling for Streeter's job. He sux too. Outside of their DL, I thought Clemson was mostly overrated crap and I look forward to a couple of losses for those rednecks that will mercifully keep them out of the CFP. They lose to the mutts or 'Bama by 5 TDs.

I remember Yates choking away a chance to beat Clemson and then transferring away. That's all I recall of Yates.

We can disagree about this...doesn't matter. Ya'll sat on Patenaude's jock for three years and now you are sore. Our offense will get better under CCL. How much IDK but it can't be worse than the garbage we witnessed over the previous three years.
