Solid Win!

Agreed. That slow mesh offense they ran was just awful to watch. You have a mass of bodies with theQB and RB running literally together holding the ball as they wait for an opening in the line or a breakdown in the DL. Flat out ugly. The antithesis to a fast pace 5 wide offense.
Wake’s Slow-PO would have been a good transition offense for us.

A team like UGAg would have had one of their 330 lb monster DT's tackling the QB and RB on that slow mesh play. It is essentially what Biggers was doing before Wake abandoned the play late. Just tackle both of them.

BTW, I think that uni combo is pretty sweet. If Adidas stays with that stuff they'll do well, IMPO. The GWG and the WWG are both winners.

ETA: For some reason Kirk seems to like GA Tech. Pretty much always gives us a fair shake, IMPO.

Getting on some of these lists goes to show what winning will do to perception. We played good enough certainly, but were we an "impressive team"? Wake Forest? Penalties? Ok then.

I give the football Gods the finger as I comfortably completely overlook BG, and am pumped for them to be truly impressive against the windyrainies in 2 weeks.

Getting on these "WooHoo" lists is good PR for our program.

Next level is not laying an egg against Miami. Miami is going to be a handful - we better be ready.
However we do it, we likely win against BG and lose to Miami. That puts us at 3-3 heading into the back half of the schedule. Pretty much where most thought we'd be. Then we get UVA, BC, Syracuse, UNC, Clemson, and UGAg. That's where we fish or cut bait - 4 of 6 winnable games, maybe 5 of 6.

So we lose to Miami but win 4-5 of the next 6? If we are good enough to win 5 of the last six then we are good enough to win 6 of the last 7. Not sure we are quite there yet.

I don't think we know that. We don't really know how good Miami is right now. They've looked pretty impressive. We really don't know how good Clemson is either. Or Dook. Or FSU, to be honest. None of them has played a strong enough cross-section of teams yet. All we really know is Clemson is no longer a great team, but they still might be pretty darn good - if Dook and FSU are both really good.

Dook slammed Clemson in week 1 by the score of 28-7, but has since slammed Lafayette, NW, and UConn. Meanwhile, Clemson was not terribly impressive in week 4 and may have started out downright poor in week 1. We just don't know. Dook plays ND, FSU, Louisville, and UNC down the road, so we'll find out in time.

It's all that way. FSU beat LSU and a now-suspect Clemson, along with S Miss and BC. However, LSU, after losing soundly to FSU, whipped off wins against Grambling, Miss State, and Arky. Are they really ranked #13 based on that record?

SeewhatImean?

Didn't he throw a pick on a roll out or did I just imagine it? Plus, we had a LB spy back there moving with the QB. If he bootlegs, that LB was getting upfield to him fast
He was flushed out I think

Miami’s QB is top-shelf, if we can't get pressure then were dead-meat against them
