Sources say CPJ could step aside after this season?

Since you don't attend games or contribute to the program financially, what does it matter? I know that you and @TampaBayJacket @RamblinWreck92 @Yukonwreck enjoy being miserable, but cherry picking one year where everything went wrong with a large # of injuries and sandwiched between a great season in '14 and a very good one in '16 is just you being an ass.
Never denied being an ass. But you are wrong, I don't enjoy being miserable. And for fifty years or more when Tech is losing it is a miserable time. Unlike a lot of my brethren, i get very little enjoyment out of seeing our team getting hosed by teams like Virginia, Duke, and Pittsburgh. I have come to understand we will always struggle against the Miami's and Georgia's and Clempsen's of the world. But we have gotten back to the point (where we were in the past) where we can't play with the lesser teams in our league.

If we don't go bowling, I would say his seat is warming up. If it happens again the following season, he would definitely be in the hot seat then.
lol

He would “definitely be in the hot seat” after three losing seasons in a row.

I would surely ööööing hope so.

I doubt CPJ would coach in 2020 if we have losing seasons in 2018 & 2019. A more likely scenario (and concern) is we alternate 2016 and 2017 type years.

If we don't go bowling this year, he'll be in serious trouble. I'm not positive that TStan will fire him but a mediocre 2019 would definitely be the end. And if this year is really bad (3-9) I think he'll be gone.

But I also think he'll win 7 or 8 games this year.

Industry sources say it's likelier Johnson, who turns 61 Monday, steps aside after the season than the school paying his buyout.

The quote is comparing two very unlikely events, to determine which very unlikely event is even more unlikely than the other unlikely event.

You stated before that you want GT to graduate players and no one since Dodd has done that as well as CPJ. Yet, when any thread bashing the coach or team is posted, you can be counted on to have chimed in with a snide remark that doesn't hold much merit.

You also seem to think that because UVA and Dook stunk for big chunks of the last 20 years, that it will continue to be so. Both of those teams have made good coaching hires. Cutcliffe may be a jerk, but he's a good coach--this isn't Carl Franks or Ted Roof coaching Dook. Even with that, GT isn't unable to "play with the lesser teams in the league," and have more wins than losses against those teams. Do you really think that anyone enjoys GT losing, much less to one of those teams? The difference is not everyone feels the need to moan on a message board about it.

Last season was a bigger letdown than the injury wrecked '15 season. If CPJ doesn't have a better won/loss record this season, he'll rightfully be on the hotseat.

And is hot.
Paul Johnson's daughter is an operatic singer. That's not some kind of weirdly specific insult. She's an operatic singer, and a respected one. By those who like operatic singing.

Not my cup of tea, but she is clearly talented.

I'm not trying to disparage a skill I certainly don't have, and that may just be a really bad recording – don't evaluate any artistic enterprise via YouTube – but she's got some work to do to make it to the big leagues, IMHO. She's still young.

The ones who enjoy being miserable are the ones who don't get too upset about losing to Duke and, instead, bend over ass-backwards to excuse such losses.

I.E. You.

The ones who DON'T enjoy being miserable are the ones who are tired of losing by 20+ pts to Duke, having losing seasons, missing bowls, and being completely irrelevant.

I.E. Me.
