öööö that. Faulkner still owes us big time for staying with Georgia through their bowl. Give us the boy and wipe away the debt.

I think this does make this situation unique since there was mutual interest. Not sure why he hopped in the portal - I think we should understand that before deciding to initiate contact.
 
LB Khatavian Franks in the portal. He had some injuries and some personal issues his whole time at GT. He had a lot of promise coming out of HS, hopefully he gets his shot somewhere.

This is true, however you really cannot blame a player if UGA offers. Right now, UGA is the Playboy centerfold asking you to be their boyfriend. Sometimes you later find out you need a girl that can cook and milk a cow.

As a school, no comment. (I started at Tech, finished at Ga. Southern, while several friends started at Southern, finished at Tech).
As a football program, they did have a bad year, their worst since starting up.
And they're moving up to FBS in the next few years.
But let's give em credit for something.
That's a strong yard. Lots of talent coming in every year there.
Can't wait to go to The Grove this year and see just how strong that yard is.
 
So it appears we have room. Does anyone know where we sit with scholarships? Are we looking to fill out the team from the portal?

I think I counted 11 or so players we got from the portal during the spring game, with all seeming to contribute

We are going to bring in 6-8 additional players from the portal.
