Not voting one way or the other, but comparing it to A&M isn't exactly apples to apples. They upgraded their schedule by joining the SEC and now Texas is back on.

The danger with dropping UGA is the drop in a guaranteed sell out at BDS every other year. Also, I can see UGA saying fine, we will replace you with a Ga. State or Southern, elevating these programs profiles within the State at our expense. UGA may even offer to play that game in MBS and split the revenue. Just something to consider.

Nah, just accept the fact that they have a great program and treasure the once every 10, 15, 20 years, whatever, that we beat them. I would like to play them earlier in the year so we don’t almost always end on a bad note. UGA would probably be good with this so they could end their year with a marquee conference game.

The end of the year matchup also favors a program with more depth. And UGA always has more depth than GT.

It'll be more often with someone other than Collins coaching us
 
Disagree. Perception wise, it would look beyond bad for us to discontinue this game. There was a day and age not too long ago where we recruited well enough to play them tight. We need to get back to that and it starts with the HC.
 
Oh brother, my post is the same for ten or twenty years. UGA holds all the cards: lawyers (politicians), teachers, media. The secret is to flip the switch on your competition. Our leadership are weenies hiding behind “we’re an academic school”. Stop playing them, stop emphasizing them, ignore them, grow your own fans, and compete nationally. Our model does not work. Wake up, adjust, kick ass!!!
As a minimum play the the first game so we can get to the real games that matter.

The path to national prominence begins by ducking teams you can’t compete with locally? High school players will be beating down our door for a shot at that type of glory, I bet.
