Given the fact that the average UGA fan is likely over forty or so, I think most of us remember, despite a likely drunken stupor, that Tech defeat us in 2016 inside Sanford Stadium.GT has only beaten UGA 17 times in the last 60 years ,this is not a rivalry anymore. UGA has won the last 4 in a row (it would be 5 but COVID saved a loss) and unless something miraculous happens that streak doesn't appear to be ending any time soon. I wouldn't be surprised if, after winning 9 in a row to top the "drought" from the 1950s, UGA ended the series. The UGA fan base is primarily filled with people who have no experience with the GT/UGA game being a competitive rivalry, the same is true of the GT fan base. If not for the parents of the current students at both schools neither student body would have much in the way of passion about the game.
