Taquon played like a warrior tonight

Most dominant performance I’ve seen under CPJ. It wasn’t 80 yard busts it was 8+ yards 60+ times. Just unreal. Don’t know if we’ll ever see a game like that again

Yeah. I kept waiting for the ‘chop block’ or holding call that was going to put us in 3rd and 18 and change the momentum of the game. Unlike with USF, it never came. That was like really good and stuff.

I think there may have been a bad call early in the game, but the only bad call I remember was the celebration penalty. Ref was reaching for his flag before Searcy had taken a step beyond the goal line. Paul didn't even care at that point though, they showed him walking away from the camera right after and there a couple players looking at his face and they started laughing, he must have said something funny.

The celebration wasn't a bad call. If you spin the ball, you are gonna get flagged.

Well its a dumbass rule then. He didn't taunt the other team or Louisville with it, it didn't really even look particularly intentional, kinda just flicked his wrist as he was dropping the ball.

The guys played really hard- came out with great intensity. B-backs ran tough / fast- loved seeing that. The team genuinely looked excited and having fun. Playing a little less tight- who knows, maybe we really did turn a corner against BG.

51 had a nice pass breakup in the EZ, and 45 flying to the ball with 2 fumble recoveries. Yes- a few lapses on D for sure- but I thought we looked more crisp overall.

Looking forward to Duke- let's keep this train rolling. GO JACKETS

Taquon started the arcing crap again in the second quarter. Didn't really matter because Louisville had no clue defensively, but there were a few things like that to clean up. First quarter was as clean as we've ever run the offense.

Such a waste.

Not the game, but the draft versions of all the posts the CPJ haters had alll queued up but now have to wait to unleash on those of us that are happy with the win.
I don’t know who is more obnoxious, the pro CPJ people or the anti CPJ people. We probably just need to wait and see how the season turns out.

Correct, one game does not a season make. We really dont know if we played that good or Louisville is that bad. We will see

Actually, we do know that Louisville IS that bad. Any team that loses to FSU this year kinda sux. Any team that manages 3 pts against the Cadavers blows.

That takes nothing away from us putting up 66 pts on 'em.

It definitely takes away *something*...

Yeah TaQuon's got some special talent running the ball and the offense, but seeing Oliver cut up field makes us realize just how many yards he's leaving on the field. If we could somehow take the best of both of their running styles, it could be downright frightening to see.

It's nice that we blew out one of the worst teams in FCS. And we should destroy UVA, if they could only manage 27 pts on this ööööty defense.

how's that?

Accurate.

Yesterday was encouraging as hell. I've seen us blow bad teams out before while running the offense poorly, but that's not what happened yesterday -- we executed beautifully.

But the fact remains that Louisville does seem to suck, so I'll wait until after the Duke game to hop back on the hype train.

Taquon has definitely stepped up his game the last two weeks. Van Gorder's defense did not look like they were well prepared. Kudos to the O line. Parker Braun was driving people all over the field. Still some WTF moments on D but forcing the turnovers makes all the difference in the world.

Can you imagine how good we could be if we could pick a player or two off of FSU's team? They waste so much talent down there

Did Marshall get hurt at the end of the game? After the play where he was stopped just short of the goal line, he came to the sideline, spiked his helmet, and went into the injury tent for a minute. We was out quickly and in the sideline huddle, but Oliver finished the drive and the game.

Curious if anybody saw what happened to him.
