Yep. Even if Marshall is exactly what he was last year, a better defense probably means winning the division. I'm not worried at all.

Offense left a lot to be desired in first half. The O line play was abysmal. I immediately wondered if Acorn had that kind of line play what it’ll look like three weeks from now when we face an above average line in clemson. I imagine things aren’t as bad as they seem but they’re probably no where near as good as I was hoping for either. TaQuon is not a quarterback. Not his fault he is being forced into this. I thought Tobias looked good but hard to know what’s what.

We already knew Marshall sucked at passing. Or at least anyone paying attention last year knew that. He will have his moments, but no one should expect consistently good passing from him. However, if today is an actual indicator the defense is improved (probably too early to tell but they seemed to display better technique and more aggressiveness) and Taquon actually knows when to pitch, we can have a good year in spite of his inefficiency passing. It's not as if Nesbitt was ever a good passer. We beat the Dwags in '08 with him going like 1/6 all game.

Our offense is predicated on being able to punish teams that bring both safeties in run support. Presently, we can’t do that.
