Taquon "was a jolly bit less than optimal"

Going 50% with 1 pick doesn’t bode well. Maybe he feels pressured to make great throws bc our WR talent is not ideal.
50% when you don't throw a lot of short passes ain't bad, in fact, we've been pining for it for years.

Marshall is not a passer. Ok I get it. But his ability to make people miss and his speed is so much better than Washington. He does have some hop in his step and if he can keep from making mistakes - mucking up the mesh, hesitating on the option, fumbling the ball when hit - he can be effective. I was surprised today that we went didn't throw the quick pass to the receiver. It looked very open and is something we used in the past and could really use now. It would also get Camp into the game and maybe settle Marshall down. Marshall dropping back and running is a real danger for other teams and sometimes he seems to throw better on the run than when setting up. I'm hanging in there with him. He is a dynamic runner.

My bigger concern from today is size. Our dline and lbs just aren't that big. I'm more worried about getting pushed around by bigger teams than I am worried about Marshall. Our oline will be ok - I think.

I see that the title of this thread has been modified to make our friends from across the pond feel more at home. So...

Balderdash! Poppycock! he bloody well chucked the futbol like a blimy hooligan tossing a pint o' Boodles at a wanker nicking a dart at a pic of the Queen Mother on St. Patty's Day.

When Taquon pitched to a-backs yesterday

TQM gets in a jam and chooses his running ability to salvage the situation. Today that changed. He got caught in the pocket twice, scrambled to daylight and then pulled up to look down field again and hit the open receiver. He also pitched more.
Offense looked sloppy.
The line made ugly mistakes early in the game.

There was on really good pass downfield during a scramble that he totally wouldn't have made last year. His eyes seem to have improved. Just needs to maintain focus on form, to increase accuracy.

The pass that hopped early on was bad. Way overthrown. He seemed to get better, to me.

We have studs at BBack. Benson came in and ran hard. Howard was the odd man out - for now - but I feel will get his opportunity. It was nice to be able to rotate them like we would do with Days and Laskey. I think our three now are better than those two then

Yeah I agree. Maybe Howard could get some reps at A back?
