Taquon "was a jolly bit less than optimal"

Nesbitt couldn't throw a lick either. Marshall is a good runner. He will lead us to a good season, trust me.
You don’t really have to be a passer in this offense. Wait for man coverage on a WR, then throw in his general direction. If the receiver is decent, he’ll make the play or pick up a penalty most of the time. Either way it backs the safety off the line.

We only had 30 yes in penalties as well, that was positive.

The turnovers were the worst thing about the game.

I watched the pre-game drills. Pretty simple rule if the ball is on the ground when no one is covering you, it isn’t good. Marshall had significantly fewer than either of the other two, and he wasn’t on target even in the pre-game. First half looked a lot like warmups. I hope it was just first game stuff but...

At least the second half looked a bit better and the A backs were involved.

How in the öööö did Akinji even get into the game? Which one of you assholes did it?

This board needs some perspective. We won 41-0 and outgained them 543 yds - 146 yds.

TQM did start shaky, but after the come-to-Jesus halftime talk (per CPJ), he finished with 104 yds on 50% completions. After the halftime talk, his next (and last) series went like this:

8 yd pass complete
pass incomplete
rush
rush
9 yd pass complete
25 yd pass complete
13 yd pass complete
24 yd pass complete

You can't ask for more than improvement, and he definitely showed that over the course of the game.

We'll learn more next week. Looked ok today. I wanna say we just stayed vanilla, but that is our offense.

He looked better in the second half after an absolutely awful first half.

But he still doesn't look any better than last year, which is concerning.

There was definitely some miscommunication going on today. There were also some bad (real bad) throws by Marshall. 50% completion this year puts the team in a good place.

TQM gets in a jam and chooses his running ability to salvage the situation. Today that changed. He got caught in the pocket twice, scrambled to daylight and then pulled up to look down field again and hit the open receiver. He also pitched more.
Offense looked sloppy.
The line made ugly mistakes early in the game.

Gulenist.

Terrible. Reminds of the Tevin days.
Oh lawd. I'd take an out of shape Tevin out of his office chair and put him in right now instead of watching TaQuon's inability to run the base offense.
