Tashard Choice Rumors?

As the Varsity goes. Does anyone believe the Varsity is gonna last much longer at North Avenue? That property is awfully valuable. Not sure what the long term Gordy plans are as they head into the next generation.

After driving by the Original Dwarf House in Hapeville and discovering Chick-fil-a had it bulldozed down to the dirt, I would say anything is possible.

Maybe some crappy V will show up under Tech Tower like Junior's did.

I live in Cali. In-N-Out is trash. I will never understand the obsession.

My wife is from Texas. Whataburger is trash.

Shake Shack is tolerable.
Most fast food is trash, right? There is always a bigger line at In-N-Out than the majority of other trash fast food joints in my experience, so I'd have to think that could point to more people thinking it is less trash than other fast food burger joints. Random persons home-cooked burgers excluded of course

No, you can't cook a meal better than 90% of the restaurants as easily as you can cook a burger better than In and Out.

And ok, you're shopping. Get you a burger. Just don't lie and say it's the greatest burger ever and that there's no way to equal it at home.

And you are more than welcome to block me if you are so triggered you are about to pop an artery.
Why would I block you, you stupid mother ööööer? In real life I work all day with extremely intelligent people. People with advanced scientific degrees. Professors. Top corporate scientists and researchers. IEEE Fellows. People with law degrees, patents, accomplishments. It humbles me and also skews my perspective.

It's good for me to come here and remind myself how truly stupid some öööö heads like you are. A more balanced perspective. So, thanks for being the dumbass that you are, and sharing your dumbassery with everyone here. Also, you amuse me - like a court jester or circus clown. So thanks for that, too, buffoon.

Dude, I don't give a flying frogs ass who you work with. You can pat your sorry ass on the back all you want and you're still nothing more than a cancerous mole on the ass of society. You seem to love patting yourself on the back as if someone, anyone, is going to be impressed with your old, sorry ass. Nobody is. You know scientists! Awesome. This is a football board, moron.

True. It's more about the cult surrounding it. Burgers are mediocre. Fries are terrible.
When the best thing you can say about a burger joint is they have better T-shirts (In-N-Out's are pretty good) than XYZ Burgers, you kinda have to ask "what was it we were talking about?"

Whataburger just opened in the Decatur, AL, area & the way cars are always lined up for the drive thru, you'd think they're giving them away.

If you find yourself in Austin, try "P. Terry's" or "Mighty Fine Burgers".

Whataburger
In-N-Out
Five Guys
Red Robin
Chili's
Johnny Grylls
any local pub

All of those can make a better burger than I can consistently get at any of y'all's houses, and all of those are way better than Burger King, McDonald's, or one of the other mega chain burger joints.

Dude, you can't? I can. Chili's really?

My big fat 90/10's are delicious. Cook bacon first, 2 lbs on the griddle. Let that nice thin bacon sheen stay put. Place thick burgers on the griddle, high heat. Do not smash. Do not flip. Do not move it. Leave it alone. Cook for about 3-5 minutes and it will form a nice crust. Flip, do not smash, do not move it. Let it cook 3-5 minutes and it will form a crust on the other side. Add cheese about a minute before removal, if desired at that time, and let it begin to melt. Remove. Bun of choice, bacon, toppings of choice (I am fresh sliced tomatoes, Vidalia onion, romaine). You end up with a juicy medium to medium well burger.

I normally cook waffle house style hash browns on the other side of the griddle while the burgers cook.

My burgers turn out exactly the same, every single time.

I think you need to buy better quality ingredients if you really can't cook a better burger than those places at home.

Cooking a burger doesn't take too much skill and is pretty easily repeatable, so as long as you have decent meat, fresh toppings, etc., you can usually turn out a better one than restaurants with overworked employees who need to worry about a dozen different dishes and use ingredients sourced to make a profit.

Now I want a burger. Might have to make one tonight.

You overcooked the bacon, the bun tasted stale, the lettuce was wilted, and burger ended up a greasy gooey mess.

This is a funny thread after all the fuss people have made about Waffle House since the new regime came on board.

Why wait until tonight when you can get a Whataburger for lunch.

Definitely. I order burgers all the time. I enjoy cooking, but it's a lot of work and sometimes you just want something made for you.

No, the bacon is perfect. My buns are perfect. And the only thing that ends up a greasy, gooey, mess is whichever Stingtalk mom wants a hot piece of glistening meat.

The biggest difference between an at-home burger and a restaurant burger is that at home most people use 90+% lean. Restaurants are closer to 80% lean or less. McDonald's is famously at 80/20 beef/fat.
