Tech Opens A 14 Pt Underdog To Ole Miss…

I bet a friend $50 we win out right Collins has to know this game is probably make or break for the season, and his job. With 2 tough road games the possibility of 1-4 is real if we loose this game. So this is gonna be the game we gotta win. If we loose then start the search cause no chance we go and beat pitt or ucf on the road without some kind of momentum.

Can I get in on this bet?

Blackstrain played at least one snap. He was mentioned on the broadcast. Think he was the one they were hoping to have back fully by Ole Miss.
Thought Blackburn was the one everyone was frothing over. Blackstrain's the kid from Florida. He's been injured too but we knew that when we recruited him.

If we don’t teach how to set the edge on defense, the Lane train is going to run wild. That said, I think we have a decent showing on offense.
The Lane train didn't run so wild against mighty Troy.

One is injured as @GoGATech has said. And how do you know they look to run the ball? I hope so. We have done well so far with that.
Blackburn is injured. Leonard is also injured. Blackstrain showed flashes over the offseason, but is still a little down the depth chart. Hopefully we will get Leonard back this week, and Leo sometime soon.

I just spent a little time reviewing the stats from Ole Miss' first two games and I"m kind of scratching my head as to how they are 2 TD favorites.

One thing I found interesting is OM has 12 red zone appearances and 11 TDs. Whereas, we have 5 with 4 TDs.

Another is that we are tied with thrrowing interceptions we both have 2.

Also interesting is that Ole Miss played 2 cupcakes but are #45 on the "Big Play" list (# of plays > 10 yards) - they have 34 such plays (UNC is #1 with 60 such plays). I figured they would be mich higher. We only have 22 but we played Clemson - had we played 2 cupcakes, we would probably have as many as Ole Miss.

I'm really digging to find a reason to be afraid of these guys. I'll let you know when I find one but so far, I'm coming up empty.

I don't see it either, 14+ on the road is a big number, unless you think we'll have punting problems or some other mistakes as easily bad that gift touchdowns. Of course both our opponents so far have covered, so there's that.

Don't normally bet tech for reasons, but a +500 ML has me somewhat interested

Whatever the number is, we haven’t performed well against it in the Collins era.

GT is 4-12 ATS in its last 16 games. 11-25 in the CGC era.

Good news: they lost a ton of starters(14), from last year, including QB Corral who now plays for the Carolina Panthers. Bad news: they return most of their OL. They are not at the level of Clemson and uga, more like Miami and FSU. Seems to me the line is about right, but a blow-out is a really bad omen for CGC and the season. OTOH, being competitive or winning provides a healthy dose of hope.

So, do I expect Ole Miss to end the season with a winning record. That is I pick my upsets. So I don’t see an upset.

As far as the line goes, that’s hard to predict. Kiffin seems like the kind of guy who will still try to score, even if you concede late in the first half.

But, they are from the "mighty" SEC. That should be enough... Although, I am not sure we have the speed on the D side, to stop many times.
