He’s been failing for four years now. So no Mrs. Key….I’m sorry, he will not be wearing a headset in P5 after the end of this year.
If Sims had played we would have probably won tonight.
I’ll bet Key will be coaching. That line will grow up. And we will be busting 1/10 for 3-4 yds on an inside handoff gap on 1st down, and short yardage 3rd and 1 next season. Key knows how to play.

I don't think Key is coaching next season if we don't make a bowl this season. It's still possible but losing to a 2-4 team at home after a bye makes the margin for error a lot, lot smaller. Not many more winnable games left on the schedule.

We need to win 3 out of this:

Florida State
Virginia Tech
Miami
UNC

Forget tonight’s game. Do you see 3 wins there?

1. This should end the silliness of Brent Key being the next head coach. Next to CGC, Key and his OL are the big reason GT is where it is.
2. If Jeff Sims were to be out the rest of the year, GT will not score another offensive TD.
3. GT must get a coach who brings in a “unique” offense which does not repulse high school recruits.
4. The ACC refs are complete and utter a**clowns. The ACC would be much better off firing every one of them and letting the guys in the broadcast booth call the games.

Forgetting tonight's game? Sure, it's definitely possible. Need three out of the four. Not especially likely, but possible with the way the defense has been playing.

Not forgetting tonight's game? Going to be real tough, because I don't see Sims making it the entire season and we saw what happens when he's out.

Their DL was absolutely blowing up our run blocking. It's hard to win games when you can't establish even a credible run threat. We still win that game with Sims in. I don't know how you plan an offense around a QB like Gibson when you can't run and can't even complete swing passes. We just were never in sync on offense today. Not getting the PI call early killed our spirit.

There’s only one on that list we’ve got a good shot at and it’s on the road…

The line hasn't "grown up" yet for 3+ years. Also a coach knowing how to play means jack squat. A coach has to know how to coach.

goodness what has yall so worked up? i wrote this whole season off before it even started, you'd have to be silly to think the collins era was getting better. any interim coach was going to have a handful to deal with, let alone have consistent back to back games. i mean even the best seasons in gt history have had shaky games that could have gone either way, but with much better personnel between player development and coaches. let key ride out most of the season, give a full assessment by the end. see what other coaches are available by then, and assess what the best options are. don't get so emotionally invested one way or the other.

This level of logic and reasonableness is not welcome here

Hate to say it but this loss was the Waterloo of an already unpromising year. At home, under the lights, Thursday night, national spotlight, winnable game, öööö the bed. Not good.

I’m of the belief that everything Collins had a hand in needs to go, which is basically everything and everybody. J Batt will of course be making that decision, let’s just hope he is up to the task.

3 wins out of the remaining 5 games. There's still a chance, but it's a lot harder and we won't do it if Soft Sims stays out.
