How was it going when he was in ?Honestly what could he do with a QB who plays like that? You cant even call screens and expect them to be completed. Once Sims went out it was over.

How do you think he managed to get the passing numbers he got at Akron? Probably not holding on too long for receivers to get separation or running for his life, huh? This is on the OL, as it has been the past 4 years and will be the next 5 games.I'm not sure Sims even cares about being on the field. The way he plays at times and watching him walking around the sideline like he didn't care all that much about anything going on around him.
Gibson looked like the jv kid being thrown in after the varsity starter (and probably his varsity backup) got knocked out. He's clearly (very) limited in arm strength and control. I have no desire to watch that again.

Our OL would to Akron's DL....right ? Hi stats at Akron was against similar competition to what Akron had. His passing yardage was legit.Akron?
So what? Don’t think we want to hang our hats on his stats at Akron
Plus we would probably lose to Akron
Dude won back to back game after your boy Collin got canned. Sit this one out moron.Truth hurts
If Gibson sees the field again then Key needs to be fired on the spotHe coached scared just like how Gibson played qb. He was at Bama when Saban went to Tua, but couldn't make the same decision. It might be true that neither of the other two QBs could have won that game, but it was 100% apparent to everyone that Gibson wasnt going to. Gibson ran out of bounds without even trying to win on that last play, but Key had already done the same thing back in the 3rd quarter.
You just fired a used car salesman, and you want to hire a new car salesman. His price just went up
Soft as wet toilet paperA couple of years ago my son, a high school OC, was down to his fifth string QB. The 5th string, JV player, was better prepared to run the offense than our backup last night.
I also continue to question our training staff during a game. Sims gets critiqued as soft because he gets injured but stays on the sidelines, walks for the most part without any indication of a limp, takes on the field pictures with Cav players after the game, etc. If your starting QB has been injured or reinjured during the game - what TV thought was an ankle problem - getting him off the ankle and icing seems a no brainer. Saying he is done for the game but no ice, crutches, boot or getting off the injured leg does lead to questioning.
He‘s trolling you dumbassThe line hasn't "grown up" yet for 3+ years. Also a coach knowing how to play means jack squat. A coach has to know how to coach.
The camera guy certainly thought it was interesting enough to focus on it repeatedly - hey, here's Sims walking around with no problems on the sideline while his backup who has no idea what to do is getting killed.A couple of years ago my son, a high school OC, was down to his fifth string QB. But he’s even flashier! And he wears socks. You just fired a used car salesman, and you want to hire a new car salesman.
the upper north lights were not onHate to say it but this loss was the Waterloo of an already unpromising year. At home, under the lights, Thursday night, national spotlight, winnable game, öööö the bed. Not good.
I agree. Truth hurts. I have said many times. If a coach cannot succeed at a singular level, how is he/she expected to succeed at a high level? I think fan were so desperate to cling on to anything, they grabbed him. Face it.. Pitt played the worse game of the year... we won because Pitt dropped INTs. As for Duke, we played our best game of the year, I think. We compete against Duke and the refs and won. UVA, we came out flat and the O was just off.. We are not good enough of a team to have an off night/day and expect to win.Truth hurts
Now put a clean shirt on to finish out the season! Your work was admirable. Take care.
Still tell people to eat crow about Collins ööööface? Now put a clean shirt on to finish out the season! Your work was admirable. Take care.
