The CW is taking over for Bally's

Good. CW is everywhere and easy to find. Like the Braves games back when they were on TBS.
Yeahbut pretty sure there is that one square mile in the US where CW is not available. Goes back to a treaty signed in the early 1500s. If you zoom into that sq mile real close, there’s only one house in it. 1982Jacket lives in it.

just hope we don't get pre empted by sportswashing golf

Fubotv has CW in the Atlanta market (though not all markets.) So bullet dodged for me (for now.)

The CW is the equivalent of Dollar General
As long as I can watch the game it could be carried by C-SPAN for all I care. I've missed too many games and had to scramble for too many work around patch solutions to care who is broadcasting the damn game. Just put some damn cameras in place and freaking live stream it. You can watch any number of public places 24hrs a day that livestream on the internet from beaches, tourist attractions, road ways, etc. Why any of this is so damn difficult and complicated is far beyond my comprehension.

There are tens of thousands of people at any given game with cell phones perfectly capable of live-streaming content directly to any number of easily accessible free internet platforms and somehow in 2023 we still have to hope and pray that some 2-bit legacy media conglomerate can scrape up enough projected ad revenue to send a few trucks full of gear and stick two idiots in a booth to blabber non-sense for a few hours. It's maddening.

Great news for national alums like me who are always trying to figure out what bally is or what RSN we're on.

But just more proof of how far behind the B1G and SEC that the ACC has fallen. Pathetic.

Iiwii

The best model (B1G model) is you have a product people want, so you charge the content distributors to have access to it directly.

Next to that, you have the SEC model. You have a product people want, you have a middle man distributing it to the content providers. Considering the on the field production, the sec should be blowing the doors off the B1G.

The ACC has a product that relatively few want. It is better to try and get eyes on it to increase interest. Otherwise you get stuck with the stupid nfl blackout rules. Your team sucks so no one goes to the stadium. Then the nfl blacks out the game, which decreases interest in the team. Even when the team improves, no one cares because they aren’t watching.

Any DirectTV Stream subscribers been able to confirm availability of The CW for Live TV? Looks like On Demand only but I am viewing the service on the web right now. Will have to investigate further once I get back home.

It is for the ATL market. Not sure if you will have it in Augusta.

Can't find it on my guide. And I never had any problem finding Bally.
I guess the investment in the digital antenna might pay off after all.
