I have no idea why so many of our Fans feel this connection to constantly pine for Ga Southern and for Service Academy FB, as if those schools somehow define GT FB

I could understand if we would constantly compare ourselves to BC, Stanford, ND, Michigan, etc, but I don't understand the constant GA Southern updates

We hate uga more than the anything, but somehow we absolutely love mini-UGA (aka Ga Southern), makes no sense whatsoever

To the OP, not slamming you in any way, I fully agree with your comments

When we hired the last coach, who liked his quarterback to make certain reads, we picked up a lot of fans, not of Georgia Tech but of that coach and that specific system of making reads. They have been infesting our board ever since, trashing any attempt to get away from their holy option offense and getting the vapors every time the last coach gets any criticism at all.

I was wondering, cause I thought we hated uga and any other school that tries to copy uga, and to me Ga Southern tries to be a mini uga , meaning we should hate Ga Southern , well I do, eff Ga Southern

Bingo. There’s one particular one in this thread who joined this board the day after CPJ was hired but before he was announced who clearly is not a Tech fan.

Part of it is the idea that GT should run a unique offense to get around some of the issues of recruit competition. Ga Southern and Service Academy can be viewed as the devil you know in that sort of idea, though personally I don't think they are the answer if we wanted to find something more unique now.

There are segments of Georgia Southern fans just like most everywhere else. They have people who chose to go to Southern/choose to cheer for Southern who are a very loyal bunch that hate Uga like we do.

Then you have the ones who went to Southern because they couldn’t get into uga. These are the ones who are riding around all week with uga flags on the car, wear exclusively uga gear, and have kids named Braydaen, Jaxton, Maeven, and Bryceton.

Good God I saw a car heading into work yesterday with UGAg flags on the windows and magnets on the doors and trunk. I love GT, but the day after the game that stuff comes off the car.

AND WHAT KIND OF MORON PARENT LETS THEIR KID WEAR A UGAG HOODY TO A GT GAME.

What you claim didn't happen. Our game was a nooner. USCe didn't start ruining the mutts' season until 7:30pm.
