This board held a near consensus ...

This is the issue. It's all water under the bridge but people still seem to think our three-star OL under CPJ is no different than a similar ranked three-star OL from any other FBS team. With an occasional exception, our OL were wayyyyy different in body shape. They were shorter and wider, great for drive blocking but a severe liability in pass pro. Even our best OL (by far) under CPJ, Shaq Mason, is a 3-sigma deviation from the norm in the NFL with his 6'1 frame, with the 50th percentile being 6'5. Thus, there are no tackles who would even play in the rotation at any other P5 school (or even FBS for that matter) and occasionally a few guards since they can have shorter arms. Thus, our recruiting rankings are incomparable to other schools. Even our skill position ratings are off kilter since typically that 4-star QB is actually 4-stars for other positions but nobody wanted them as a QB.

Just looking at the 2017 & 2018 class (after CPJ stopped trying)

Mike Maye 6'3"
Harrison Jump 6'5"

Michael Minihan 6'2"
Zach Quinney 6'5"
Connor Hansen 6'2"
Charlie Clark 6'4"
