I do not. It explains a lot about the discrepancy in our viewpoints about what constitutes success for GT football, and in our level of satisfaction with being GT fans.

Oh, by the way, grad rates are calculated on a six year basis. The latest grad rates are for the freshman class which entered in 1999. The increased emphasis on graduating football players occurred AFTER O'Leary left. Let's see how the class of 2002 does before we pooh-pooh things, shall we?

Bullshit. I haven't met many in the circles I run in. Most of them are just happy of the achievements we've made despite the facts. It can be hard to be a true-blue Tech fan and SUPPORT your team no matter what, but I guess pride could be mistook for arrogance.
btw--You might want to hold off on the 5-6 loss comment til after Thursday because last I checked we've only got 4 this year. And as to the Bowl comment--we would've been in the Peach if Hell hadn't froze over in the ACCCG.

most of the things you cite started under OLeavy, not Gailey.

also, expecting ANY team to win all the time is no longer realistic in modern day football. look at Miami, VT, FSU, Oklahoma, Alabama, Nebraska... are they all undefeated? didnt FSU lose to UVA, just like us? didnt Miami lose to FSU, a crappy team? didnt VT lose also? there is one "superteam" right now, based on two players, and that is USC with Leinart and Bush

grow up and quit pouting and you will see that we ARE EXCEEDING THE EXPECTATIONS. if you recall were ended higher than expected in the ACC this year, didnt we? we beat 2 top-10 teams. played UGA to the last play of the game. lost on a fluke. had one horrible game, and yet it the coaches fault for not bringing perfection

even Spurrier, Richt, Bowden, JoePa and definitely Fulmer are all mediocre or failures

Do you ever actually try to discuss anything? Or just try to get as many cute sound bites as possible. You haven't answered a single question posed to you by anyone best I can tell.

BTW, bowl games are a crap shoot, especially in the ACC right now. We got screwed. But go ahead and blame that one on Chan as well, since he's responsible for everything this side of global warming.

Chan ball is mediocre and vanilla...we need to travel better as fans. Combine that and you'll see why we we've been to Seattle, Boise, San Fran...and Orlando for the Champs bowl (only because UVA said no due to their exams)... Yep, I blame our coach for that bc its our record that keeps putting us in these bottom feeder bowls. For some reason, you think next year is going to be different and more of the same isn't on the horizon? please explain why.

So what, everybody gets that.

Everybody also gets that we should have beaten ncsu and could've/should've beaten uga. So what, we didn't. As painful as that is, most choose to move on.

You want a new coach. I have no problem with that, but have you done anything besides bitching on StingTalk? I could be wrong, but I don't think that anyone here has the power to fire Chan Gailey.

Whether you realize it or not, many folks here have some complaints about the program, but know that it's best and more practical to talk about what we can deal with and formulate a plan B, versus empty bitching.

Dammit dude, pitch your bitches to someone who can solve your problems.

...and what would your plan B be? Some here are just pollyanna cheerleaders of the status quo. Offer criticism and get blasted. Sorry, but our program is middle of the road and on the verge of NCAA sanctions, and Braine is still in place, Gailey gets a new contract, and yet, many fans on this board say "we're on the right track"..wake up people. Does b*tching do any good? who knows. Does pretending all is perfect do any good either? no. Nothing indicates things will be better next year...if anything, worse once we start feeling the pinch of sanctions with the rising tide of ACC strength. I respect your opinion and understand why some don't want to hear this...that is perfectly fine to me.

Regarding our bowl games over the past 9 years.

They were good enough to be better than Southern Cal, LSU, Texas, Tennessee, Miami, Penn State, Ohio State, etc. during at least one of those 9 years...they could not even get into the smaller bowls.

Boy that would suck....but I have not had to feel that in the past 9 years!
