Yeah fix the kicking problem and our QB won’t throw 4 INT’s and we will stop false starting.

Do I really need to explain that if we had a kicker that could make a 40-yard field goal we wouldn't have try to force things in other aspects of the game?

The slowest LB core I’ve ever seen in my life and a d-line that can’t pressure Syracuse o-line.. isn’t a problem?

ok

Dude, come on. We shut them down for most of the second half, but couldn't put points on the board when we needed to. Gave up one big play, and after we wet the bed on offense. Not a defensive issue. Need the TEs back on the field.

Kicking game and turnovers. I'm a little dismayed the coaching staff hasn't made appreciable progress on those two fronts through three games. The talent level of this team is obviously higher than it has been in past years and those offensive yardage numbers aren't accidental. The running game, in particular, is beastly with or without Mason, who will only make it that much better. But you cannot keep giving cheap points to the other team AND leave points out on the field by constantly getting kicks blocked and having poor kicking and expect to beat anyone.

Yeah the turnovers are the main issue rn but this is the bullet the staff is willing to bite playing sims..

if you want to be a better team rn and win more games.. why not play graham? I guess they’re still looking years away and that’s why I’m not concerned. Cuz I see this year paying off. Sims wouldn’t start for any other team rn in the ACC rn, he’s a talented raw project

I thought this was a pole about the board. Some of you need to just lighten up and know there is going to be people venting after this crapshow today. It's okay to call people names, threaten to fight, but heaven forbid they have a differing opinion and like things you don't like.

The penalties are infuriating and it’s on the coaches. Maybe it’s time to dial back the fun and all of the bullshit extra stuff until the penalties improve. There’s a complete lack of focus and discipline that causes these dumb penalties.

The turnovers are dumb but that’s just inexperience. It’ll get better.

Kicking game is a cluster.

I view the OL play as a big contributor to the penalty and turnover issues. Sims is getting more pressure every game as a Frosh and making Frosh decisions under duress. Then the OL gets on their heels trying to pass protect and create illegal procedure penalties. Run blocking actually seems to be a strength, but if you are going for a balanced offense you have to do both run and pass blocking equally as well.

Penalties is absolutely number 1.
I put turnovers for the second one but really that’s a product of the OL not blocking. Missing both TE’s hurts too.

Whatever is going on with the Covid adjusted coaching isn't working. Sims is making Reggie look like a precision passer.

Why couldn't I straight up vote for coit? Do we really need fans who call other Yellowjacket fans losers, idiots, etc. with great regularity?
You haven't been a Tech fan for long, have you? Welcome to stingtalk. Now, STFU you idiotic loser! Oh, and Coit is a national treasure!

I picked Offensive Line, but I couldn't decide on a second option because it seemed like the penalties (false starts) and turnovers (two interceptions off rushers hitting Sims midthrow) could be largely corrected through the OL. I say this part from pure ignorance but I guess the OL could be to blame for some of the FG problem as well? I haven't looked at the misses again yet.

I think it has to be Playcalling, but maybe more as part of the larger issue of game planning. I didn't like a couple of calls yesterday, and I am not a Pdude fan. But aside from a couple of decisions to throw when we were gashing them, the plays themselves didn't seem poor so much as the execution.

(The Harvin fake PAT, of course, was indefensible. It would be nice to see that kid get some recognition and points for his efforts and bangin' body, but that was not remotely the right place for it and it looked badly drawn up to start with. Someone in the game thread said there's no way that ever actually worked in practice. My guess is that it did work, which means our PAT defense team is so slow or inept that Harvin can beat them to the end zone, and one of our opponents this year is going to figure that out and run the play using someone who will convert.)

But rather than bad plays, it just felt more like there was no vision or plan at the start, to get us to a win at the end. No real correction of active issues during the game. I don't really know what category it falls under so just calling it "game planning" is pretty Lower Western but I am not knowledgeable enough about that part of the program to guess. It may just be more accurate to say I'm getting a little impatient to start seeing Collins' ability to build an image translate to building a competitive team.

@BuzzFeitenSystem you are an idiot too. In case I wasn't clear enough earlier. As @The Jacket would say, don't kill yourself.
Did you give him the number for my helium tank business?
