Don't think there's a realistic justifiable reason to make such a move. At least with regular season games, they are being played no matter what, you know about them usually years in advance, and you can run the numbers to contrast what we net at BDS vs. MBS. A playoff home game would be something the team earns, and it would be really lame to deprive them of that because you have a chart that says it's financially advantageous to do so.
