Missing the couch
Both Rutherford and Singleton are solid football players. I enjoyed watching them and wish them well anywhere but Uga. But if they think teams are built around wide receivers and can demand the same cash as the most important position on the team (qb) or a much better than average player at a position in short supply (DT), they are sadly mistaken. Go to a factory and chase that money while racking up Ls.Got it. I don’t say this to trash Singleton, as again I don’t blame any of these kids for trying to max out their income if that’s what they value most. But, the reality is that it Singleton’s not dropping critical passes over the middle of the field, his elite speed was taking him out of bounds down the sideline. We will be fine.
Irony.GFY.
You weren't having a difference of opinion. You were being a douchebag
How do you know we aren’t doing that? With free agency, the players can go to the places who want them the most. Some players are worth more to other teams than the one they are on. If the difference in cash is significant, go. Personally I think they should go to the money. There is no guarantee of pro ball, nor if against all odds you land in the pro's, making it to the second year.
We need to pony up NIL. We are the #9 GDP rated metro area and the home team in it. We need to shake the trees.
The Econ 1101 analysis covers all WR's not just the 2 we are talking about.Talking about two different players.
And if you get hurt in the bowl game, your team has to pay you triple your NIL. And forcing players to remain on teams they don't want to be on would be it's own disaster. And if you portal before bowl game and hurt your team you should have to forfeit 1/3 of your NIL

Singleton has game breaking speed and is bigger. Rutherford is smaller by 20 pounds and isn't the burner Singleton is.
We can talk shit all we want, but at the end of the day these dudes have to do what they think is right for them and it’s not reasonable for us to impart our values on them. Their decisions will only impact them long term. I’ll have a hard time remembering who that fast wide receiver was when Haynes King was QB in five years. But Singleton may be able to do some great things with the $1M+ someone gave him to play sports for one year.I couldn't see Rutherford getting more than half the NIL that Singleton will; but half is probably worth entering the portal for.
1000%.I’m with the guy who said stop getting donations for renovations on the stadium. Use it for NIL.
You in in Orlando? I will head over and kick your ass real quick and then we can drink beers and watch SMU embarrass the ACC, Texas, Dallas, college football, Eric Dickerson, Craig James, and 5 hookers.Irony.
HahahahaBullshit. Stop being a pussy.
Kelly CampbellWe have had no shortage of receivers like Rutherford. His biggest asset is as a glue/locker room leader and he has lost that with this little move. There have been 1 or maybe 2 irreplaceable receivers since I have been watching Tech and CJ is it (or one of them). Bebe would be the other had he been in a different offense. Singleton is at the fringe of that based on elite speed.
Georgia Tech Football: Tennessee Tech Linebacker Cayman Spaulding Commits to the Yellow Jackets
The Yellow Jackets continued their big day tonight with another transfer commitment. Tennessee Tech linebacker Cayman Spaulding became the 5th player from the twww.si.com
Dez White, Kelly Campbell, Kerry Watkins, Jonathan Smith, Harvey Middleton are all in the same boat. Look at their stats in GT history. Heck, you can add Steagall to the list playing on 2 of the worst teams in the last 40+ years. We have had no shortage of receivers like Rutherford. no way we can replace that 1400 yards combinedDez White, Kelly Campbell, Kerry Watkins, Jonathan Smith, Harvey Middleton are all in the same boat. Look at their stats in GT history. Heck, you can add Steagall
Singleton & Rutherford were already #14, #15 in yards in GT WR history. So yes, losing them will have a big impact.
No way George Godsey can take over for Joe Hamiltonno way we can replace that 1400 yards combined
There is nowhere else that understands the intricacies of the forward pass like we do.
