Just waiting on Ohio State and Notre Dame seasons to end so we can cherry pick their rosters.I'd say the staff is taking a pretty big gamble that we pick up a DT or two in the spring portal. This was our biggest need and to date we only have Alexander from Central Florida. Anyone know if we are pursuing any others in the middle of the D Line?

Definitely that's why my primary concern as this point is someone 320+ size guy who can help the middle of the defense in short yardage and then another quality depth interior guygonna be tough to replace Biggers
If we want them, we’ll take them. Those guys don't want a cut in pay.
ND paid $1 million to get a backup DE. He's starting now.
Looks like most of ND's interior D guys are done after this year (Rubio is a redshirt junior and Cross is a graduate level player) or could be so the guys behind them will step into those spots. Hinish is a redshirt sophomore but his older brother was a ND team captain. Not likely he's going anywhere.
Ohio State's front four is all seniors, and there's a ton of guys behind them, so some of them will move into starting spots. Some won't.
Buckeyes have two guys on their DL from Georgia - one from Buford and one from North Gwinnett - who might be buried on their depth chart.
Manley, Triplette and Hoffler are DEs.
Need DTs.
I'd bet Notre DameWhere is Ewers going?
We lost or are losing our top four guys on the edge - Height, Harris, Robinson and Yondjouen. Not to mention Cruz, who was listed on the depth chart but didn't play a great deal, is also out the door. Like the man said, don't confuse numbers with depth. But that's a lot of numbers to lose.Good news is the 3 freshmen coming all enrolled early. But I still agree, we need 1 more. Coaches will get it done. We certainly upgraded the depth on the edges even after all the losses.
Aren't we bringing in a bigger replacement on the edge than Height? We lost or are losing our top four guys on the edge - Height, Harris, Robinson and Yondjouen. And still, interior is a huge concern. We've lost or are losing four of our top six in that rotation, even if one of them (Lockett) played sparingly at best.
Losing our two starting tackles and our starting center is a big concern too but hopefully McKenny and Galloway can step up and be full time guys at tackle. Petty is going to have put on a bunch of weight before he can contribute. Don't we have four or five OL in the outgoing portal, with only one incoming?
There's some work to do.
