Most definitely. If you live in Bristol, shouldn't you be doing that every weekend?

Were you thinking of the Mall of Memphis and the ice rink? Most definitely.
They are not adding stands.
The distance to the field is not that much greater than in a typical stadium.
The Colossus video system is underwhelming.
They will start bringing dirt in on Sunday after the race.
The UT & VT fans around here have been gaga about this for two years. There is a countdown clock just west of downtown on the main highway to the speedway.
Bruton Smith is talking about having a bowl and/or MNC playoff game here in the future.
I am getting out of town for that weekend. Promises to be worse than race week.
No. Mall of Memphis opened in 1981. I was talking about ten years before then. Were you thinking of the Mall of Memphis and the ice rink?
Thanks.

No the point is, if you're leaving Bristol for the weekend to avoid a sea of orange, why not go to Atlanta and support the Yellow Jackets.
Granddaughter's 2nd birthday.
Have the party in Atlanta. Problem solved.
Kid lives in Ohio.

I beg to differ. So do these measurements. The closest seats will be almost a football field away from the football field.

Take this and imagine a football field out there about where the haulers are.
EDIT: This is also the closest you can be to the video cube. Not that impressive. The huge fence is also a plus for lower level seats...
There are probably 150,000 people who will go because it's unique and they want to participate in the event. It will be a fun party atmosphere, but I doubt they'd be able to sell 150,000 tickets again for a long time. When the fans sober up, they'll decide it's not a substitute for an actual football stadium.
Story around town is that Pilot/Flying J (primary sponsor) bought a massive amount of tickets with their sponsorship to make sure of a "sellout".
