Transforming Bristol Motor Speedway

What a view.

What's that monstrosity they are building at the 50 yard line on one side. Looks like it will block a lot of seats.

Well yeah this whole event is the dumbest thing Tennessee has come up with in years.

öööö, you need binoculars just to see the tv.

Go back and look at the pictures I posted ITT from the race. I zoomed them to match human eye magnification, albeit at a narrow field of view. You guys keep posting these wide angle shots that give the right human vision field of view but not magnification so it looks much further away than it is.

Unless you used a "drunk vision" filter, the pic will still not be representative of the gameday experience.

You act like ain't none of us ever been to Bristol before. Just damn admit already that the seating and the view sucks, I don't care what lens you use. FWIW, the view from the top of Neyland sucks too.

The view is going to super suck.

Here is Neyland Stadium inside Bristol.

I have sat in QQ row 33 at Neyland. Top row in the upper deck just below the press box section on the left. You can't see a damn thing from there. The top of Neyland is pretty far up

Maybe they should just go ahead and have a NASCAR race during the game. At least people would have something to watch.

Watch 'em plow into those guys sitting on the straighaways!

I also heard that the concert stage sitting along one sideline will be removed before the game. There is a concert tonight or something.

I would hope they would get it out of the way. It took 2 days to construct it. Hope they can get it down in <24hours.

Easier to take down than put up. Don't have to check and double check connections and carefully route wires through the structure.

Striking and load out is usually easier than setup and load in, but it's still more than you would think. These things are constructed to set-up very efficiently now-a-days. After the concert is over, say 10-11pm, the stage has to be cleared and all of the sound and lighting equipment removed before dismantling of the structure. If they open the gates to fans at say 5pm-ish on Saturday, that's about 18 hours to remove that entire stage. It's do-able, but not easy.
