Typical Atlanta Media

I posted these stats early December, and had posted them assuming a UGAg bowl win... here they are again, updated with the loss:

1st 3 years Kirby vs. Richt

W-L Records
Kirby - 8-5, 13-2, 11-3 (32-10 total)
Richt - 8-4, 13-1, 11-3 (32-8 total)

SEC Championships
Kirby - 1
Richt - 1

5 yr W-L Before each arrived
pre-Kirby - 50-17 (10-3.4 average, 74.6 win%)
pre-Richt - 40-19 (8-3.8 average, 67.8 win%)

So which one improved upon the predecessor?

Richt started off with a 32-8 recored, 80.0 win%, 12.2% improvement over the previous 5 yr average.
Kirby has a 32-10 record, 76.2 win%, only 1.6% improvement over last 5 years, and still lower win% than Richt's first 3 seasons.

So, Kirby is slightly behind where Richt was at this point. Then comes the "but we made it to the playoffs and the Championship game in his 2nd season." Richt was 13-1 his second season with an SEC championship. He would've been in the playoffs. He also would've been there in '02, and possibly '12. All of Richt's success also came when Florida and Tennessee had solid programs, and Spurrier at USCe had the Dwags number. Now they are in the weakest SEC East there has ever been, and he is still Richt 2.0.

Kinkade from buck and kinkade or however the öööö you spell it just said that whenever an Sec team gets beat it’s the same old line about how the didn’t want to be there.

It’s never ok not to show up. How em plant tasing was the performance in Detroit?

Edit: how embarrassing was the loss in Detroit.

What's this about tasing plants? Or is it tasing implants?

The article by Bradley was pathetic. Georgia got their butts whipped, and he downplays it to "they didn't want to be there".
Make no mistake, UGA proved last night they are far from a BCS Playoff team. Period.

Give credit to where credit is due -Congratulations to the dawgs on a top-10 finish. Once again your program has underperformed to the expectations of the SEC-biased media, as well as your Walmart-walkup fan base.

I'll disagree to a point....the Walmart-walkup fan base exceeded expectations with their performance this year. I guess they'll be perpetually waiting until their freshmen and sophomores mature. :ughthumb:

I heard the Detroit plants tastes great, Dedrick Mills said so himself

Unfortunately, the Atlanta media and the state as a whole doesn't give a damn about the ACC. The only thing that the media cares about is the SEC. You can debate that all you want, but it's true.

Enter ACCN. The people they hire better be as one-sided as the SECN people. They're legit getting paid to be. It will take time and wins, but it should help with positive coverage.

How confident are you that ESPN is actually going to put the same time and effort into the ACCN that they do with the SECN, especially with Swofford still running the show in Greensboro?

No. Wrong again.

Don’t let your bias color your perspective. They absolutely would have been. I doubt they would have won any because Richt, but they would have had at least two, if not three, teams in the CFP.
