When you are charged with a felony, you definitely want an experienced defense attorney, with a good reputation for avoiding shenanigans, who the Court is familiar with. Those don't come cheap.

If there were anything left over, I'm sure he could show his good will by donating it to a Georgie literacy program based out of Athens. We all know that need has been barking loudly for a long time.

If it were me, and I had a profit from the fund raising, I'd donate it to the GTAA.

So he's not pocketing anything.
