UGA using GSU to prepare for GT

11-17-2012 Vs. Georgia Southern
11-24-2012 Vs. Georgia Tech

I really hate that UGA vs GSU game is not the first game of the season like it has always been for two reasons. It will help UGA prepare for Tech and if the game is as close as I expect it to be then GSU will keep their starters in long into the game and risk injury before the playoffs start the following week.

GSU will have a similar QB to Tevin next season after Shaw graduates and McKinnon takes over.

One saving grace is that our offense has evolved from the way that PJ typically runs it. Monken has us running out of the shotgun about 20% of the time. So it may not be the exact same offense as Tech but IMO it can only help UGA prepare.

Thats really cool. That proves they FEAR us. They may beat us, but they still FEAR us.

yea, GSU = Georgia state
Southern, GaSou, whatever---can be Georgia Southern

Now we have film on how they try and stop the option

No, Southern = Southern U

Georgia State football fad will end soon, they lost to something called lambuth last year and they got destroyed last week by a fellow startup program, ODU.

haha the funny thing is, it will probably hurt them more than help them. And Georgia southern will have an OK chance of beating them.

We should schedule someone with a boring NFL offense.

Oh wait, we already do.

Yes, watching Brady throw for 500+ yards to a bunch of white guys was soooo boring! Want to talk about precision and execution? Wow...

But back to the subject...pretty smart scheduling on UGA's part. Have a nice practice game vs. a well executed option attack to get warmed up for the big boys next week. But if we execute, it shouldn't matter how prepared they are for the option...if it is not to be viewed as a "gimmicky" offense.

Have we found a team to draft Preston Lyons?

Ha! If ever that was one, it would be the NE Patriots! But not sure his "game" mirrors that of the typical caucasian skill position player in the NFL (Woodhead runs a 4.38 forty). That Woodhead dude is pretty neat to watch...very Warrick Dunn'ish. Love seeing him tote the rock amongst the big boys and representing melanin deffecient people.
