uga's 5-star QB commit

The storm is too perfect. The worse things look, the more convinced I am that Georgia is going to win their next three games and this will all end as little more than a light mist and we'll hear all offseason how 2016 is the deciding year for Richt before they win 10+ and this is all forgotten.

Mark Richt may win out and win 10 games, but it will always be the three he lost that he needed most to win, just as it has been for 8 years.

Has anyone else watched Eason's highlight film? He throws from a VERY low 3/4 motion...öööö near side arm. For a kid who's something like 6'5", he ends up releasing the ball where a 5'10" quarterback would.

Also, the kids he's playing against in Washington are tiny. In his highlight video, he's the biggest kid out there by a long stretch. I suspect he's going to find things a bit more difficult when the people he's playing against are as big or bigger than he is.

I would rather he takes his talents to Gainesville so that there is definite, immediate negative fallout in Athens than him sticking with Georgia and maybe being a bust or maybe being a top flight quarterback.

We are in complete agreement on that. I'm just loading up on ammunition in the event he does still end up in Hell. I need to be able to bring my brother-in-law down to Earth and give him something else to worry about.

I'd prefer he's thinking :ohhhPOOPOO:

Eason should go to USC (the real one, not the South Carolina one)

Academics are better, athletics are better, location is better. Why would he ever pick uGA over USCw as a QB coming from the west coast?

I'd get Alabama (for athletics), Stanford (for academics), Notre Dame (for name brand), Michigan (for the coach), but why uGA? Makes no sense.

A UGAg fan told me he can't back out because he has already done his financial something or another or something like that.

He can sign financial letters with multiple schools. It doesn't lock him into anything, but it does allow uGA unlimited contact with him.

If I were Saban I'd be sending him a brand new phone through overnight delivery because if that's true, his will likely catch literal fire sometime tonight from Georgia coaches begging him to stick with them.

Or maybe Pruitt will ask him if he likes movies about gladiators and whether he'd like to spend college on South Beach.

I don't think the kid is that good, honestly. I was hoping he went to UGA, just so he could tank and they wouldn't have a replacement.

Reminds me of Marcordes's film.

Is he trying to threaten the uGA administration that they better not fire Richt, otherwise they'll lose him as well?

Pretty ballsy move for a high school student.

[insert "Bold Strategy, Cotton" meme here]

Better outcome: he goes to ND and is great or he goes to uGA and is terrible?

answer: he follows Richt to South Carolina and goes 4-0 vs uGA

After reading the sportchat link, two possible scenarios come to mind.

Captain Kirk with the corbomite maneuver (bluffing)

Captain Janeway (spelling?) threating to self destruct the ship every other week (nuclear option)

Goes to UGA and is terrible, then transfers to Notre Dame and is great.

Like it or not QBs that play for Mark Richt get their shot in the NFL.
