UGAy playing GA Southern Good or bad?

Depends what side you bet on.. In your heart of hearts if you really thought we still sucked you should have bet the mortgage on uva but you didn't so stfu

:bigcry:

Did you bet the mortgage on Tech to beat UVA? If no, then stfu

I think the line is 16 points, or was yesterday, and that's about right. Pruitt's defense does okay against spread-type and option teams. Most of the time anyway. Our offense will struggle no matter the opponent, but probably get three or four touchdowns against a fairly ordinary D like GSU. And we'll go about 4 for 9 on field goals, so add 12 points. I don't think it helps UGA against GT other than reinforcing assignment football against the option. AU scored seven on its first possession Saturday, Pruitt adjusted, and just two field goals the rest of the game. It's manageable unless the passing threat is real. For Auburn it wasn't.

You are very wrong on this one pal

Georgia's defense also has had the luxury of playing Vanderbilt and Missouri's offenses, the SEC's version of the Iraqi army.

If Georgia keeps Breida especially in front of them, they likely will win this game. But if they start gambling and don't take their gap assignments to heart, he'll go right by them in a heartbeat. Ellison too. And the Fields kid might be the next big star at Southern.
Not sure if VT or UVA's offense is any better than Vandy or Missouri. UGA will be GaSo and Tech. It stinks but we are just plain awful this year.

Doesn't matter. What matters is How many 20 yard sacks for a loss JT takes in the game.

Southern doesn't run the flexbone anymore, so I don't think we'll have much benefit for the dwags prepping for y'all. We are probably more similar to Auburn than GT at this point. We had our 1.5 string QB and 4 new offensive linemen starting against WVU in the first game of the season, and we have played much better since then. If we can throw as good or better as we did against Troy last weekend we may have a chance, but we usually lose by 3 TDs against UGA.

Our problem this year has definitely been teams playing option based teams the week prior to playing us. For sure.

There were a few big completions (keep your feet, BJ) and the one kid I'd never heard of made a great catch. But ... don't get carried away. It wasn't that great. Did like the TD pass to Dean. Reminded me of the A back seam route to Karl Miller that was always wide open.

App State D'd up pretty well. Now, Southern can run the ball on just about anybody but I think the relative weakness of the Sun Belt and Southern's Sun Belt schedule helps. Those teams are bad. Still, I think if Southern can get something out of the run game and just hit a couple of passes (if the Eagles are throwing double digit passes, it's a bad sign), Georgia will get pushed to the limit. Hope they get pushed right off the cliff.

If I'm Georgia, I send the house on every play and dare Ellison and Upshaw to throw.

They were saying on the radio this morning "there are many Ga Southern fans who are dawgs fans so this should be a interesting game." You think Ga Southern fans would have a little better pick on teams that the mutts! My cousin initially went to Tech but partied too much and had to transfer to Ga Southern, which he grew up in south ga so he was close to home, but he still follows Tech thank goodness!

The friends of mine down here who are big GSU fans / boosters absolutely despise the fans who root for UGA as well.

A lot of the GSU fans that have worn blue and white all year will be wearing red and black on Saturday....which is sad.

I hope GSU makes it a game, the line is around 14 points....

I hate it but that game is going to be a bloodbath.

UGA will shut us down better than App St did and their offenses are about the same.

UGA wins by 21+

öööö UGA

Have you watched Ugag play?

Yes. The best chance there was for them to collapse was for them to not get their act together against Kentucky. They did and they'll easily cover against Georgia Southern. A couple of weeks ago I'd have said we have the same shot at beating them as last year, if not better. But the idiots are getting onto one of their late season perfume-on-a-corpse rolls and I don't like it for us.

If I'm right and Georgia smashes Southern, our game might go more the direction of Clemson or Notre Dame than anything else. Nevertheless, I hope I'm wrong and the Eagles pull off a shocker and Georgia rolls into Atlanta fresh off a kick in the balls.
