It’s so cute to see all the uni color talk. I think they look hawt in any GWG, WWW, GGG, GNN, WGW combo. Just WIN WIN WIN

I think my opinion of any use of blue at all are well know to most posters on this site. But since TStan was the main culprit in elevating the use of blue, maybe we will get back to our true brand, which is white and gold. The blue in the 80s and early 90s was due to a stupid rule by the NCAA that the home team always had to wear dark jerseys, and somebody at Tech regrettably decided on blue instead of gold. TStan's decision was his own and was neither required nor necessary.

The tragedy is that the GWG Adidas uniforms look absolutely amazing.

That's a brand we could build on and create recognition with.

That is until Wake Forest decides to wear white as the visiting team because black would be too hot...for a night game...in November...

Didn't we win a championship wearing that stupid blue?

I don’t like the gold pants color for this year. Give me last years

Well didn't the navy come from the black watch?
So why not choose black, since that's what the "black watch" wore? However, no it didn't come from that. Dodd had used blue sparingly over the years for some reason, but never at home. The most notable time Dodd used blue was in 1942 in Athens, when he filled in for an ailing Alexander and took the undefeated, number 1 team in the country to the cesspool and got stomped 34-0 by the mutts. After that, they should never had worn blue again.

We did wear black under Curry, hence the Black Watch. Black GT on helmet. I still have a black jersey from that time. But when Ross got here, I remember him saying he couldn't tell if it was us or Wake Forest playing. So Ross reintroduced the blue - but only rarely did we wear the blue tops. It was more of trim color.

Then we would look like Vandy
