In all facetsThen we would look like Vandy
In all facetsThen we would look like Vandy
Actually, when Ross was here we wore navy jerseys for all our home games along with white pants—it wasn’t just a trim color. We wore GWG for all the away games. We did wear black under Curry, hence the Black Watch. Black GT on helmet. I still have a black jersey from that time. But when Ross got here, I remember him saying he couldn't tell if it was us or Wake Forest playing. So Ross reintroduced the blue - but only rarely did we wear the blue tops. It was more of trim color.
I like the white and the gold helmet by the FSU captains. Maybe we should try that.
So you would rather us look like one of the scores of other schools who wear blue??? Makes no senseThen we would look like Vandy
How many other schools wear Navy and Gold? Notre Dame? That's it. And Notre Dame unis look nothing like ours.So you would rather us look like one of the scores of other schools who wear blue??? Makes no sense
They do GWG too...How many other schools wear Navy and Gold? Notre Dame? That's it. And Notre Dame unis look nothing like ours.
And their gold is completely different than oursThey do GWG too...

Akron isn't relevant enough, and neither is Navy. Navy also changes their uniforms what feels like every game too.plus Akron and Navy... But since Pitt changed it does feel like its down to those, ND, and us.
I didn't say navy and gold; I said navy. Plenty of schools wear navy. Only Tech and LSU have consistently worn white and gold through the years. Why be like others? Be uniqueHow many other schools wear Navy and Gold? Notre Dame? That's it. And Notre Dame unis look nothing like ours.
But not Navy and Gold... Does Tennessee look like Clemson? No ofc not.I didn't say navy and gold; I said navy. Plenty of schools wear navy. Only Tech and LSU have consistently worn white and gold through the years. Why be like others? Be unique
Paul was never in my book a true tech guy..He wore blue maybe due to Navy and Ga Southern and did a awful number on the unis.......in my book when you quit using the Dodd and Ross unis.........you have lost the tradition arguementsBecause in 20 years we went from WGW and GWG and GWW to first wearing blue once a year to wearing blue half the time. I blame both Paul Johnson and Geoff Collins.
No, they don't, and that's my point. Why should we look like somebody else, because an incompetent AD declared (based on a provable lie) that blue should be a secondary color for Tech and then proceeded to use it like a primary color. I don't know what, if any, Tennessee's secondary color is, but Clemson's is purple, and they use it once a year at most. We, on the other hand, again because of TStan, have a "uniform of the week", just like they do at Oregon, where he was previously employed. Although there was very little color at all in any uniforms before the 1930s, Tech has nevertheless always been the White and Gold, so why get away from that BRAND now? There is no blue in Buzz's costume; there is no blue on the Wreck.....just in team uniforms. STUPID in my opinion. I will concede that, although I didn't like it, Ross's teams, including the 1990 NC team wore blue, so ok, wear that once a year in tribute to those teams. But there is absolutely nothing about Collins' teams that deserves any kind of recognition or tribute. So DITCH the blue uniforms his teams wore completely. But not Navy and Gold... Does Tennessee look like Clemson? No ofc not.
Why? What does that have to do with anything?Whatever they are, get the stupid 404 crown patch off them.
There is blue on the GT logo on the Wreck. I don't see why you hate navy, but you're fine with black...No, they don't, and that's my point. Because it’s stupid, it looks stupid, and it came from stupid. Why? What does that have to do with anything?
