Unofficial Signing Day thread

Roof is not getting fired. Stop wishing for it. If we have any luck, we'll get a linebackers coach so all he does is playcalling which CPJ can interfere with.
I can support this. Make roof the dabo of defense?

Edit: I could support stealing Venables too

Or we make Roof assistant head coach or some other bs title to get him recruitin and get a real defensive coordinator.

Ugag at 7 of the top 30 players in the country.
Chuck and Chernoff were talking about how this uga kid got in trouble for violating his probation and got arrested. I don't know who they're talking about but Kirby Smart decided not to suspend him for the playoffs because "he wants to respect the kid's privacy and let the legal course play out before making a decision like that" They were calling bs on Kirby Smart and how he should just come out and say "look we haven't won a national title in a while so we don't care what this kid did. We're gonna play him." Then they talked about how this looks to potential recruits' parents, when Kirby Smart does not give a f*ck about the future of his players and he just cares about winning. Then they said the parents don't give a shit either...

We care too much about making "Tech Men". And we will die for our principles. God rest our souls.

And we, for some reason, chased off Dedrick.

Nobody cares what these kids do in the classroom or in regards to arrests. Lots of these kids don't belong on campus with people paying to go to these schools. GT isn't some bright shining beacon of morality. It's a game dog.

O. Hale Almand Jr., a lawyer for the defense, offered a justification for the favorable treatment accorded the athletes, citing a hypothetical player. “We may not make a university student out of him,” he told the jury, “but if we can teach him to read and write, maybe he can work at the post office rather than as a garbageman when he gets through with his athletic career.”

Funny thing about that is we care so much about morality, we dismiss our star running back for undisclosed reasons but then we get caught cheating with dumb shit like aquarium tix or trips to Arizona.

Thank God we have the NCAA to set a level playing field and protect against cheating.

Every one of these guys announcing on TV has said for the next three years, for the next three years. Do you think they plan to graduate in three years? Their family members are sitting around them smiling and enjoying the kids basically stating nfl or bust. That is reality.

I don't care if he came to practice with a joint hanging from his lower jaw and was pumping steroid injections. We needed him

It would be better for society and the schools involved to house these kids off campus and make them learn a trade for two to three hours a day then work out and go to practice.

But we have coaches that coach kids upto play like 5 stars.

Except at anywhere on defense or offensive line.
We've had good o line men come through at times but I'm not sure that coaching had a lot to do with their growth. Seems like we see stagnation in the performance of the offensive line for a whole season. No growth.

So much wrong(objectively) here. No it would be better if the game changed and student athlete was put back where it should be.

The problem isn't that we can't get A good offensive lineman. We just can't get 5 of them. I think Cooper is pretty damn good and reliable. I know he was pretty dinged up for the final few games and was still an iron man. I believe CPJ said he played every non kicking offensive snap in our away games this season - the only player to do so.

And look at how much one OL made a difference. Same offensive line in 2015 minus one guy from 2014.
