Reading comprehension is important. The line moves once it is released, initially by the Sharps, then the general public, and then possibly before kickoff by the Sharps again. You initially stated, erroneously, that Vegas sets the line to get equal play on both sides, not based on how the teams stack up. That was intrinsically wrong.
So you being told the public thoughts/bets on the lines moves very little is wrong, just like your initial statement was wrong. Do better.

Barring a major injury, you will see the most movement on Sundays after the lines are released, typically around 2 pm. On holiday weekends or when you see games played between Thursday and Monday, games will be released incrementally with sides released first, totals later, and lastly props.

Drives me crazy too, clearly. Even when you try to explain it, they cherry pick the points that support their wrong position and dig in. But a sucker and his money are soon parted.

Well to be fair Wake’s recent history plays into that a little. I’m sure both teams are making their way back to where they belong.
