We got out-coached today

Just dissolve the program.
Might as well if you don't give a f**k about winning. And not talking about beating No.1 Alabama and ending their 26 game winning streak. How about holding a POS Duke team to under 40 points. This will be a great thing if it contributes to getting Paul Johnson fired.

So if my cypherin's are correct, if the offense scored 40 points we still lose the game right?

We are just dook' little beach aren't we? How's that feel guys? Roof? Johnson?

I don't want PJ fired at all. I just want him held accountable. To be honest, we can't do any better than PJ. His system gives us the best chance to win. That doesn't mean we don't need to hold his feet to the fire when we have 2 out of 3 years that are piss poor. Is that more reasonable?

CPJ's going nowhere but we can certainly do better than PJ.

We can abso-ööööing-lutely do better than losing to Puke 3 of 4 years, which is what PJ's system (which includes both sides of the ball ) has given us.

We were out coached and out matched. Didn’t you see how their line pushed ours around? Didn’t you see how we couldn’t tackle them? I agree we were out coached, but Duke is a more athletic team than we are.

"The offense wasn't perfect therefore it's the offense's fault too"

This is all on the defense dude

"Offense wasn't perfect"?? really, you liked what you saw today on that side of the ball?

2017 defensive highlights

- Tennessee jump balls, couldn't stop them at end of game. We had to go for 2 to have a chance. We gave up 42 points to one of the worst teams in the SEC East
- Miami's 7 bubble screens and 4th down conversion
- UVA scored a ton, repeatedly beat us on big passes
- Duke only punted once

Uh, yeah, we scored on all but one possession in the first half. We were like 75% on scoring until the game was out of hand and we had to pass every down to have a chance. You can't expect any offense to score on 80%+ of possessions

OUR DEFENSE DIDN'T STOP DUKE UNTIL THE 4TH QUARTER

IT IS THE DEFENSE

***DUKE ONLY PUNTED ONCE***

I'm a big defender of CPJ. Beating UGA 2 out of last 3 years, as well as 9+ wins both those years. I work with a Nebraska fan, so I'm extremely skeptical of magical coach firings arguments. The "right" coach is always around the corner. In Gailey's years, that right coach was overwhelmingly CPJ.

But I don't know what the hell happened in that second half. Maybe Marshall has gotten inside his own head too much since Clemson. The reads and throws have gone downhill. That's on the coaches ultimately, for however they've been trying to help him.

Ted Roof may be a good recruiter, but he has continually schemed not to lose. Yes, if you scheme more aggressively, maybe you give up a vertical with separation. But shit, a couple of those big plays are better than being gashed so much on medium throws.

If Ted Roof is not fired and/or the team comes out listless against UGA like this second half, then even I question CPJ's future.

I still say you're stupid to fire him after this year regardless, but he will be on the hot seat next year. This right now is worse than any time in 2015, when break after break went again Tech. This isn't that.

What about the bigger issue here. We went 0-5 on the road this year. What is the deal?

What does "holding him accountable" and "holding his feet to the fire" consist of, exactly?

Making sweeping statements about him as a coach over this is stupid, regardless of how logic-defyingly terrible we were today. Our offense was alright in the first half, in the second half it was atrocious and CPJ's play calling was just as bad as the performances on the field. Paul Johnson sucked today, our offense sucked, our defense and Ted Roof defy my vocabulary with their performances, but I'm not sure what it is you want.
