In June 2017, Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne announced that he had hired a new senior associate athletic director overseeing development. His name was J Batt, and he was hired after a successful four-year tenure as senior associate AD at East Carolina.

Don't know much about the new AD, but please do not bring O'Brien in here. Bryce Young has made him look good as OC, when Young was out they looked very beatable. O'Brien has been calling plays with Alabama talent, his stint with the Texans did not impress, and being stable manager at Penn State did not prove he could either build a program or develop less than five star talent. We have a chance to get this right, and hiring O'Brien would not be getting it right.

Jimmy Carter used the name Jimmy when he was sworn in as President. Not James. It bothered some people back then, but some people just look for things to be bothered about.
