There is a contract between player and school. If the player has a semester left and they opt out, let them pay their way.
None of this will happen by the way.

NFL doesn't need to do 1 or 2. No way any 18 year olds are physically ready for the rigors of the NFL and no need to do #2 when the colleges do it for free.
