As long as the SEC accepts that the loser of their conference doesn't belong in.I think 4 teams is perfect and it has worked well so far.
This. No conference should get two. And ND should be made to join. The ironic thing is, Alabama probably benefitted from losing that game. Losing the SECCG so late in the season could have knocked them out of the playoff, but now they don't even have to play in the game.
If you lose your conference, you shouldn't get in over a conference champ. Period. Not with only 4 teams in the playoff. If you want teams like Bama to still have a shot, then expand the playoff to 8 or 16.
I could go with that, but the SEC would have 3 minimum every year.I want 8 for the simple reason that I want teams to be able to win their way in by winning their conference championship game. We can debate the 3 at large bids and still have our "fun".
I would never support more than 8. 6 might work: Top 4 Conference champs plus 2 at large.

That would be the end of the committeeLSU, UGA, Bama, and Clemson all make the playoffs in that scenario.
Let it be so!If UGA loses to Auburn they are OUT and that's all I care about

Not just 3 but 3 with suspicious seedings (not necessarily ranking rise, but very questionable matchups like you see in the basketball bracket)I could go with that, but the SEC would have 3 minimum every year.
...perhaps the biggest regular season assumption I am making is Minnesota losing @Iowa after defeating Penn St the week before. I think this game is irrelevant as Ohio St should win the Big10, and a one-loss Minnesota wouldn't be considered anyway.

Pretty sure Bama would be inLove to see what would happen to UGAg with losses to Auburn and Tech and then a win against LSU in the SECCG. Not pulling for the Dwags, but it would be interesting.
