Who will replace Collins?

Here's the harsh truth that many among us cannot handle:

We might not find a better option than Option than CGC for maybe 2-3 years, based on the openings that we already know about, plus upcoming openings, if we moved on from CGC , we'd end up with about 25th best candidate among the "new HCs" in this cycle, there's no guarantee that he'd be better than CGC, but he might act more gruff and temporarily satiate those among us that want to see a HC act like he's a Coach from a bygone Era.

Then there's this:

Colorado had Mel Tucker on payroll for about $3MM per yr, once he showed potential, combined with his SEC Recruiting background, Michigan State swooped in and made him an offer he couldn't refuse, between $5-6MM per yr, closer to $6MM, same thing with Brohm at Purdue, they poached him and now he's around $6MM per year.

To summarize, any up & comer is gonna wait for a shot like that and stay a Coordinators or stay at the G5 Level rather than deal with our headache, they'll put themselves in line for more money and less headaches than by taking our HC Job.

The last 2 Games have disgusted the hell out of me, now I'm gonna start looking at the whether or not our guys are getting developed at the right "pace".

At our Spending Level, there's no guarantee that we'll get a hire better than Geoff, maybe in a year where there are less firings, but not in a year with this many openings

I agree, it feels like the coaching market is extremely bearish on the C-tier P5 jobs right now

What else are you going to do with it? Even owning ATL or 404 gear is a signed you got duped.
sound logic .. i can't remember when i got it .. but they just sent it to me. got a hat too.

i also have the full set of 2020 season tix for the season that never happened. you know the old schedule before covid.

Why? Our players loved him and there was significant dropoff when he left our team. He’s successful wherever he goes. At least then we would have something resembling an identity and maybe run the fans so desperately opposed to the option offense outta here. Considering their reluctance to embrace us got us to this point.

Just ridiculous. Look at the conversations: we can’t afford any good up and comers Because they get scooper up. May as well keep trying to find them and let them get hired away.

Im not saying go and get him but I’m just not absolutely opposed to it and would welcome it.

Because the option sucks ass.

He is right. 3 years to completely flip a roster will be viewed poorly in the coaching profession. He will have a roster that should make a bowl next year. If not, he goes. 4 years is the minimum for this situation.
Jesus. Tech fans are such a self hating and loathing bunch.

So why don't we just shut the whole thing down then.
