Why Brent Key should be HC

It’s a weird predicament honestly. I feel like none of Keys wins have been great all round games for us but yes they have been wins at the end of the day. It’s a weird season. I stand by Batt but it’s a hard choice. Whatever way we go, $ will need to follow behind it
 
As of right now, Key has defeated the top 2 teams in the Coastal. Dependent upon next weeks games, Tech probably ends up 3rd, behind UNC and Pitt. On the other hand you have UVA and Miami. Should have beaten both, but didn’t.

Key gets it. He knows how to motivate this team to play their butts off. He will give UGA a game and make this decision extremely difficult. Remember this all with our starting QB quitting the team essentially.

Worth an interview but a lot depends on if he can improve the offensive coordinator role.

He needs to go into the interview with a plan on what to do for all those sorts of things like this that a head coach needs to do and he hasn't had experience in (even with coaching games, there are head coach duties he wouldn't of touched yet).
 
Great win tonight. I think Carolina thought they could show up and win, but our guys took full advantage. The OL got it done. D came up huge. Haven’t looked, but betting 17pts is their lowest production all year. Two headed QB even worked. Thacker, Long, and Weinke had them prepared and called a good game. Key’s a legit HC candidate. Don’t know if he’s convinced Batt, but I expect he’ll be an HC somewhere next season.

No he hasn’t. Was a major part of the problem to begin with. Not interested
