Why building a culture with Geoff Collins is more important than winning

Why will it take another 4 years? If the actual coaching part is the issue, then if another coach comes in and takes over our roster, he should be able to produce results nearly immediately. He won't have to rebuild an entire OL room or WR room or make a TE room. And where do you get this narrative that all his good graces and GT interest from high schoolers is gone? Is that just something you made up because that's what you want to believe or do you know that for fact? Because I know of many highly rated HS guys that are more than ready to jump in if we show we can win. You would see a big jump in recruiting again if we could manage to win 6 games this year.

Getting money and spending it are two different things. The assertion was that he sucks at raising capital. I’ve heard the opposite. Looking for confirmation or otherwise on that.

Those would all be great ideas if we were winning. So would post-practice circle jerks. Everything works when you're winning. Name three marketing gimmicks that go over well with fans when you're losing? Even "Free Ticket Day" would be criticized as being "fiscally irresponsible."
 
Kinda funny that when the original creator of GTS started that forum (Eric), it was a respite from the funny, but yet sometimes a little over the top, attacks here.

But, now that he has left that other site to others, it has become fascist in its censorship.

I actually have learned to really appreciate this site, even with the over the top attacks. I would much rather see people be able to express their opinions, no matter how outlandish they choose to be, than see ridiculous levels of "correctness".

ST was formed by retards that were escaping from The Hive’s over the top posting rules.

BBuzzOff was formed by super retards escaping from Beestorm. It’s gone now and hopefully the head retard in charge is dead.

GT*Swarm was formed by Eric as a weird free recruiting focused board separate from Quinlan’s thing. Over time it sort of collected BBuzzOff refugees and ST rejects. It’s pretty much unreadable now.

The fan base really isn’t big enough to support 3 or 4 different forums.

Likewise we've gotten quite a few of the Swarm's rejects. The quality of the football board over the past couple years isn't a coincidence

At one point a sticky was put up to curtail some of the empty derision towards the coaching staff. Not the genuine dialogue, mind you, just stuff like the childish name-calling and verbal diarrhea. Lo and behold new accounts started popping up here shortly afterwards.

If you even go down the path of calling him a word like "clown" or talk about his love for his players outweighs his HC ability, things like that, you will be swiftly disciplined. :)

I lost posting rights on the "fire Geoff Collins" thread because I "bumped" it back to the top one time. Also, humor is not allowed, if it is at the expense of CGC.

When Eric ran the site, it was a pretty decent site to post on, especially for the over 50 crowd.
