Taggart split the locker room and the fan base by insisting the quarterback position be filled with an African American player, the inverse of Bill Lewis/Luginbill fiasco.I agree with everything above, except all those words that you used and the opinion they stated. in a normal situation with a proven leader, maybe they ring true. Not with WW.
Six years of sticking w/Wee Willie would be the certain way to get yourself fired as the AD in year three. There was no upside to keeping him. None. Wee Willie wasn't Bobby Ross. He's not even close to CGC, and the verdict is still out on that one. No energy, no upside, no scheme, no buy in...nothing.
Whoever said bring in Wake's coach has the right idea. Someone who's run a longtime program in a difficult environment and has done well. You hire someone with little history, you takes your chances. In this case, you lose. (and know I predicted this at hiring 1.5 yrs ago, not yesterday).
mooch, out.
Minnesota has a really nice campus - it blends right into that part of town, but it is also across the Mississippi so it isn't as developed as the downtown section. Cool stadium, but it is a generic Big 10 stadium. Very much just a bowl with no other discernible features. Kind of reminds me of David Wade if you completed the bowl under the big screen. Terrible tailgating, though. There are zero parking lots or green space near the stadium. Literally zero.
What's weird about Fleck is that he is so antithetical to the Twin Cities. The school is blocks from the old Pilsbury mill. It's very much a Midwestern town - old school, not showy, built on union labor and Midwestern commodities. Fleck is such a try hard... just a weird combo.

Oh yeah because he was totally handcuffed at USCLane is leading his division this year... him with FSU’s talent and a decent defense would be strong
What was before?Nebraska will never be turned around. There is nothing enticing a recruit to Nebraska any longer
FSU also kills it with south GA kids.
Client of mine saw Butch Jones @ the Tally airport, picked up by a dude in a unbranded garnet/ gold jumpsuit holding a block of paper with his name on it. That is why he is 100% sure it was Butch.

More like 1/3 Lane. Have you seen his chin?USC Lane was three Lanes ago
One of the first programs with a modern, scientific, strength and conditioning program. Ahead of their time. Now, trying to play catch up.What was before?

just have to find a different angleDid he sell his chin to get a recruit?
Texas A&M might cut them a deal on getting Jimbo back!![]()
Every freaking HS in NE ran the powerI triple option. Their redshirt freshman OL had 4 years in the system when they walked on campus. That is gone now. The best they can do now is to find a great coach and become Iowa.
Wasn't USC laboring under NCAA penalties during Lane's tenure?Oh yeah because he was totally handcuffed at USC
