Anyone else notice that the Miami media ask actual questions and they speak up like they aren't afraid to ask the question? Just seems to be a stark contrast with the Atlanta media who seem sheepish and meek.

And not one question started with "I imagine...."

There is more to football than straight line speed. Maybe he can transition to a 3rd down/receiving back or a slot receiver. Former Abacks is the fattest position on our team right now unfortunately. BBacks are a more logical every down back to me.

Cottrell was our best A back in 2018. Ran full speed every run. He will have a place.

Look at the intensity on his face in the videos. Bought in isn't an issue.

I just don't see it. There's got to be a reason we never throw to him. Look at our top 3 A-backs' career receiving stats:

Searcy: 26 catches for 605 yards and 2 TDs
Lynch: 37 catches for 1015 yards and 11 TDs
Cottrell: 3 catches for 12 yards

I'd love to be wrong, but I see Cottrell as having the body of a slot receiver but the agility of a power back.

I'm not sure if it's fair to compare ABs who were starting when JT was the QB to an AB who mostly played with TQM. Without looking at the stats, I think most of Searcy's and Lynch's career catches were thrown by JT.

Lynch's receiving stats decreased dramatically when JT5 left. When Thomas was there, he seemed to get the touchdown scoring, wide open, post type plays.

I just watched this and have to say I really enjoyed this interview. I like that guy. I was particularly struck by his point that the S&C coaches spend a lot more time with the players than the other FB coaches because they're with them all off-season too.

I wonder why you linked this, though? This interview is from 2016. Is there something here that you thought was particularly noteworthy?
