Worst loss in last 50 years?

I thought we had a lot of turnover on the secondary
I know Zamari left but I thought we brought in some guys incl some supposed stud from ND and all I heard all off-season was that K Watson was an athletic mutant. So I was thinking we had some inexperienced talent from last year + some maturity that comes between 1st and 2nd year + Spring practice then add in the ND guy and maybe one other xfer + the physically gifted Watson.

Somebody posted a gif of some girl popping a bubble. I didn't quite get it at first but now know that all my hopes and dreams were inside that damn bubble.

It could be. All we can do is hope someone makes the changes that need to be made and the team starts showing some heart.

In another post, I just rattled off some names: Gary Faulkner, Joe Wolf, Rick Lewis, and Bubba Hoats. Do you recognize them? Those are the names of a group of DB that we had back in the early 70's. Headhunters all. You might catch a pass, but you would soon regret it. We need those guys back there.

But you have to care. I wonder if this group really does.
Not to mention the late Steve Putnal at LB....

But today my old teammates would be DQed for Targetting...... Much different rule book today..... And Jeff Ford could play in any era.

Thanks for remembering.....

THWg!

It’s part of my youth. I can’t forget. You guys were my models when I thought I would be playing college ball. Alas, the stars didn’t align and it wasn’t to be.

Then we disagree. If The Citadel was running a shotgun spread, I'd be embarrassed. Citadel ran the triple and we weren't disciplined enough to stop the death by 1000 cuts. BG just dominated us the way we dominated SC State
That only gives an advantage to the offense. Our offense should have been able to handle a defense they physically outmatched.

Good job getting in as many clown games as possible. that asshole needs to live in infamy.

Citadel loss was the worst, and it’s not even close. We lost to an FCS military college that was running the our old offense, after Clown trashed it. It was poetic.

I was at the Citadel this week and attended an evening reception in the club section of Johnson Hagood Stadium. I couldn't help but be embarrassed for the GT football team. Really nice campus of around 4,000 students. The stadium is like a Texas high school maybe, looking across a the visitors sideline was sobering. I have nothing but good things to say about the people and cadets; but geez, how did we lose to that.

You didn't think the loss to Memphis in '81 rated a top 10? Very interesting. You think that Memphis team was better than the 1-11 record they sported that year? They were utscored 209-82 in 1981, GT gave up 28 or roughly 35% of the season's total in 8% of their games. It was a historic low in GT history.

We beat MTSU in '10, 42-14. You sure you didn't mean 2012 when they were 8-4. You know, the same team that Faulkner was the OC for? I'm sure you were aware of that factoid as well.

The 1983 Furman team was 10-2-1. Again, worse than the Memphis game? Would be interested to hear why you think that.

I'm not defending any of these atrocious performances, but that '81 Memphis game is head and shoulders the worst ever. Hate the mutts and that 2021 game was an ass whooping, but it's fair to say they did not suck that year. sames goes for ND.

BG loss this year makes me want to vomit, but damn we got a whole lot of other worst candidates before we get to the game last week.

Yeah, my cousin went there. Just to give people an idea, it’s incredibly strict. Like your room gets inspected in the morning for cleanliness, etc. I might be wrong but I think my cousin only got to see his parents on the weekends or something like that.

Maybe Memphis should be on the list, sorry I forgot that
