Write an email to President Cabrera tonight

"The football and men's basketball programs are in shambles. We've extended our baseball coaching staff who have yet again failed to advance past a regional and are clearly on a downward trend compared to the late 2000s. Our AD has been involved in two lawsuits, that I'm aware of, since taking over the GTAA, both of which demonstrate incredibly poor judgement. The GTAA needs a change in leadership and a failure to be proactive sends the message that athletics are not important to our university. " I might send another one when I sober up tomorrow, or I might get drunk and send 4 more. Really a roll of the dice at this point.

Dr. Cabrera,

I don't know your stance on athletics. I myself am very much appreciative that Georgia Tech is a top university worldwide in academics and that not only did I receive an outstanding graduate education as a result, but that my degree increases in stature every year as well.

That said, athletics are the biggest public relations activity Georgia Tech has. Love them or hate them, that's what most people see when it comes to the institute. And thanks to Todd Stansbury, most people are seeing an embarrassment.

The staff of Clemson, a literal cornfield school in the middle of nowhere, was on national TV tonight laughing at us. No name announcers for ESPN were on TV tonight laughing at us. And this isn't the first time - under Todd Stansbury, it's an ongoing trend.

I implore you to put the public reputation of this institute in the standing it deserves and remove our athletic director. I recognize academics come first, but you're the president of the Georgia Institute of Technology, not just the Georgia Tech engineering campus.

Please take action to restore the reputation of over a century of athletic excellence that so well mirrored our academic prowess.

I can't write to the president and do any good. So if you are a Tech grad, ideally an 80ker or greater, please consider writing one on my behalf, or at least in my name.

That’s not what I’ve heard.

You’ve heard wrong. I’d be surprised if he knew GT has athletics. If fans are looking to the GT prez to save the athletics dept from TDope’s inept management… yikes.

Sorry folks, he’s like the other GT prez—doesn’t care.

I've spoken to the man personally. I know Peterson was a piece of öööö & damaged our sports program immensely as did Clough before him and Crecine before that and maybe the worst Petit before that. Cabrera may not be able to resurrect our major sports programs, but it won't be because he doesn't care or is ignorant.

meh, let’s see some action. He hasn’t done öööö for athletics.

Then don’t ööööing write it. I’ve heard from several reputable sources that he almost intervened last year. Don’t ööööing write an email, go be miserable.

And if he didn’t, it’s because of the money that the GTAA can ill afford. What good is an email going to do? The 30k empty seats next week will send a louder message.

That’s the second part coming next Saturday.

Does Geoffery have an email? Maybe if we bully him enough he'll actually turn into a mediocre coach.

So tell me what he's done you don't like & what he's done you do like. He's hung onto Collins arguably a revenue neurtral move, but he'll have Stansbury sinking with him this year if the season goes as expected. Maybe he played long ball here?

What you wrote excellent. I wish hundreds of Tech supporters would send this same message to him tomorrow.

Well then, he sure ought to make some very major changes tomorrow. But, I don't think he will.
