Write an email to President Cabrera tonight

It doesn't make sense to fire a coach or an AD one game into a season, especially when that one game is against the #4 team in the nation. If you do that, you might as well have fired him prior the the season starting -- which I realize many here would have preferred, but obviously didn't happen.

If we lose against WCU, or end the month 1-3, then a mid-season firing could make sense. So save your letters and emails until then.

No, start the emails now. There's plenty of ammo to fire TStan. We need to get the AD search underway months ago.

So sure, everyone wants Collins gone. A lot of people want TStan gone as well. That was true last year, last week, and today.

However, do y’all really think anyone is going to get fired after one game if they weren’t fired at the end of last season? That isn’t realistic. I doubt anyone gets canned during the season unless something non-football related is the cause. It just doesn’t happen.

So as @Akinji07 will likely say after we beat WCar next week, cool y’all’s collective tits. Or, save your breath, because nobody is gonna get fired during the season.

Will your tits be cool if he loses to Western Carolina?

This. I didn’t post this thread to ask people to write to Cabrera to fire Collins. He’ll be gone. We need an AD who wants to adapt Tech football to modern times and hire a competent coach after Collins is gone in December.

I'm in favor of that. Anyone know right off hand what the difference financially it would be to let him go now as opposed to waiting until the end of the season?
I don’t know, but if we need to keep him until season’s end, we can dismiss him from his duties

Same thing Homer Rice did to B*** L*****

Like a Finance guy I ran the numbers and we were basically at the break even point at the end of last season, but that may have been too conservative. It could have been at the end of year 2.

Honestly, try to negotiate a reduced buyout by telling him he'll be relieved of his duties, but not fired. Yeah, he'll be making millions teaching marketing in our business school, but it's millions we'd be paying him anyways or he takes a couple million reduction to have a clean break and be able to go attempt to rebuild his career.

Name the things that resulted in the blowout.

Bet they all trace back to the same öööö the past 3 years.
The poor play from the OL did. Same ole, same ole.
But the QB play did not. Sims looked much improved.
Receivers ran good routes. Made good catches.
The defense played very solidly for 3 quarters. They got some pressure with front 4. They were in position to make plays. They tackled well. That’s new vs previous 3 yrs.
Coaching mistakes not to go for 2, etc. same ole.
Offensive play calling was night and day better.

Clemson ran the score up at the end of the game to try to say face. The truth is there was no reason for our defense to play hard at that point. The game was over. No need to risk injury. An NFL team would’ve had their third string in by that point.

If TStan is still the AD after we get to a seventh loss, we will know no one in power cares and nothing will change.

Rice had no choice in '94. Totally different culture with loads of in-fighting and inmates running the asylum.
