WTF with the red in BDS????

I would still say it was a majority Tech fans, maybe around 60/40. Remember, the UGA fans uniformly wore red while we wore a combination of gold and blue.

It was about the same or maybe a bit worse than 2005 and much better than 2003.

I don't like it either, but we shouldn't blame DRad for using the flex packs. Even some season ticket holders will turn around and sell single game tickets on ebay. At least with flex packs, we get more money off of UGA fans.

I don't know what the exact percentages were but it was way louder when we did something good than it was when uga did something good. A lot better indicator than scanning the stands looking for red and gold.

It suer toakef meor than that from the Tv sceran. Those DAwks came in herds t oTeh Flats,

In regards to not liking gold, you are not supposed to like it, just wear it once every two saturdays. It's about unity.

I was appalled. I couldn't believe my eyes...a sea of red along with some empty seats. I guess that speaks volumes about us, but I just don't want to listen.

Empty seats?

Where were those? I the West there were more people than seats it seemed to me. The only empty seats were students but that's because they bunch together and don't sit in the seats. We do have way too many student seats IMO.

It was about what I expected 65/35 GT/UGA. The expansion did this to us and there was no reason for the upper north.

GT has a larger stadium than WVU, MISS, Kansas, etc. We have too large of a stadium. We built one deck to accomodate guests who don't even subsidize the debt on it.

I think it was about the same as in recent games, 60/40 GT/UGAg. It is disgusting that they get so many seats in the LW, but they were still a smattering. There were 4 dawg fans right behind me in 105 but they were generally good natured and one girl in red there with her boyfriend was actually a Tech fan and cheered for Tech.

The big dawg areas were upper North and the corner with the band.

I wish people would quit fighting this. The reason folks wear navy is because gold looks great when applied in a metallic paint, but like horsesh$t on a sweatshirt.

Maybe next year we can buy and wear helmets to the games if we want to look good in gold.

I want white shirts and gold britches at home and a new football coach.

Here Here on the white jerseys and gold britches. We need to be wearing these home and away again.

I would estimate 70/30 or 65/35 Tech Fans. The entire top North looked red.

Very...very..surprised at the amount of Red around us in CL4. Not good.

we have a shotty fan base anyway! we have always looked for ways to give away tickets to the game, regardless to whose playing!

Afterthought..... yes, yes, gold is difficult to emulate with fabric. Perhaps I should have been more clear.... if we are going to try to emulate the color, we should just use one color on the wheel. Pick one close color and only use this one in all of our gear.

It's called "fair weather fan syndrome" and it is a potentially fatal disease, as we have seen.

Or having something better to do with your afternoon then getting berated by inbreeds all for a losing cause that hasn't shown any progress in 6 years.

I saw a few pockets. One was in the NE corner in the upper east. Others were in the student section. The problem in the student section was that some fraternities do not get there until the 2nd quarter. Disgusting.

No more flex packs

Say it with me:

Flex packs do NOT INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF RED FOR THE GEORGIA GAME!

Again,

FORCING GEORGIA FANS TO BUY EXTRA TICKETS TO ATTEND THE UGA/GT GAMES DOES NOT INCREASE THE NUMBER OF UGA ATTENDEES TO THE UGA/GT GAME.

How anyone can misunderstand that, I have no idea.

Flex packs... Last night I was mad... Yeah I have no better answer than last night I wanted to find a way to ban Ugay fans to a very small section to where that's where they can only buy tickets... LOL
That won't happen.

I'm still mad though at the large # of fans that sell Ugay people tickets to make a quick buck. It pisses me off. Those "tech fans" can go to hell with georgia IMHO...

Hope increases attendance. :)

JTS called me in Mississippi on Friday and offered 2 extra tickets he had. I talked with my wife and we decided nah, not worth the trip home early. Towards the end of the 4th quarter as we listened to the game on XM, SWMBO told me "I sure am glad we're not at the game." I agreed.

Had there been more hope of a win, we might have gone to the game.

Lets go back an remember the excitement around expanding the stadium and why we did it.

1. We had a consistent top 25 team that played an exciting brand of football. That was causing our fanbase to expand here and nationally.
2. The fanbase was energized and we talked about making the top 10 run every year before the season. Now we argue about if we will be 7-5 or worse. We have our opponents buying season tickets and have to offer flex packs to get people to buy tickets.
3. GOL had a view of playing top level teams in the early games hence the scheduling of ND and Auburn even if we lost a home game(6 games vs 7). Now we have Samford and Troy filling those slots. Very difficult to get people excited about those games. A good example is playing Army instead of Air Force or Navy.

We don't fill the stadium because we are boring team with a divided fan base. It can be done just not with the current coach. We have to be willing to do some home and homes with teams like UT, Auburn, ND etc to get there. We have to have a team that these teams want to play against because it is good national exposure for them and US.

Just FYI to everyone, the UnderArmor branded GT polos that they're selling in the bookstore now look great since the fiber is synthetic and has a nice metallic look to it. A bit pricy, but all the UA stuff is, but feels great during the warmer early season games. I highly highly recommend.

How can you say that? We give GA 10,000 seats for each game. Because of the flex packs we allow more tickets to be bought by their fans they didn't get them through the school. How can you say the additional tickets sold to Ugag fans in the fall "does not increase the number of Ugag attendees?" We obviously took a different calculus class.
Because of our desperation to sell tickets, we now must endure the flooding of BDS with the damn dawgs.

Watching the replay today, I was shocked by how much red was in the upper and lower east stands. It makes me sick!

Because if there were no flex packs, all the U[sic]GA fans would still buy just as many tickets on the street or from the ticket office or wherever. However, by making them flex pack tickets, we force the U[sic]GA fans to buy tickets to two additional games. In fact, it might even decrease U[sic]GA attendance because they have to pay a lot more to get tickets due to the flex pack.

I know gaggers who buy the flex packs and sell the other tickets on ebay and claim to make enough money on the sale to pay for their uga tickets.

There's a lesson there to the AA. If you had a user friendly way to sell tickets on the internet, you'd sell a lot more to people who resort to ebay. It would be a much better way to market to visiting fans than thru their AA cause you know exactly where the tickets will be and thats probably why people do it so much.
